Finally, a chapter that actually lets me use more than 10 characters! It's annoying that there are so many characters that I want to use, but not enough deployment slots

I feel bad for essentially benching characters that I wanted to and was planning to use, but these chapters are killing me with these deployment limits. Plus there's always a chance that I want to use someone new. I know there's always next playthrough but it's still a feelsbad for me.

I'll definitely be doing another playthrough shortly after finishing this first one. Fwiw with how defending works, Louis with Sigurd Emblem can basically draw all the melee aggro and once you have a smash weapon you can boost it up and give it the aura or whatever from Ike. He was never gonna double anyone to begin with, and given the weapon type it doesn't matter if it weighs a ton. Oops, accidentally does over half the health of the enemy to them every time and the game for some reason will usually prioritize him (at least on normal) because they'll double on him. On higher difficulties though this may be an issue since they won't attack someone unless it'll deal damage.

Do donations matter if you're not planning to do skirmishing in the nation you're donating to. I can donate a fuckton to Brodia to increase their iron ingot yield. But if I don't skirmish, will I see value in that?

Donating does open more animals up for adoption, though I have no idea if like higher tier dogs start digging up Steel and Silver instead of Iron or whatever. Though if you're not hanging around the Somniel picking stuff up all the time I guess it doesn't matter.

Costumes and like 7.5k bond things and you get a legendary s rank weapon when you max out each country. And a few other things like some ingots at certain levels per country.

There's no tier for the dogs, the only difference is coat color. If there is a difference in frequency of certain drops I haven't noticed at all.

If you're not connected to the internet to get extra items from maps, it's even worse.

That happened in Awakening as well with a DLC that let you farm these weird risen monsters that apparently rob your army, it was pretty funny watching everybody rage out that they got robbed even character's like Walhart, Yinfey and Aversa. I can only hope they don't Emmeryn, Lumeria, that was beyond fucked up and yet, even with that she was still marriable and fuckable compared to how Engage localized things, it makes no sense

Yeah, I'm intentionally not connecting and it's... it's rough, man. Kind of wish I hadn't thrown 30k at donations. But if I hadn't I would have had no ingots to upgrade stuff.

The trick is to give her a +5 slim lance and when she promotes her crit rate will skyrocket because her build will increase enough to hold a killer lance which you should get to at least +3 and give an emblem effect to further raise.

Chloe is one of the few non-royals that kept up in my game. I'm definitely doing a "no royals" run in my next pt because the game seems to want you to use them and there are so many!

Yeah. Does it stack with Jean though because if it does then there's a potential powerhouse sleeper unit.

Do they have the percentages on it yet? I was hearing it was only 5%, which meh. But it could definitely be worth the 1,500 sp if it's higher.

Right now I decided to go with "just use everyone's first 1,000 sp to get Canter and I don't regret it one bit. It makes every single unit so much better.

I'm curious, does the 15% include build? Because I had Boucheron with Tiki and he got a almost perfect level up. Everything but Luck, but he did get build.

I like Diamant's attitude. A realistic personality. Growing up a prince and constantly hearing about how he'll become king once his father dies has made him extremely anxious about his father's death. He's overprotective and wants to keep him alive.

I think so.

I just added everything up, if Boucheron is a berserker with Tiki his growths are 130/65/15/70/70/55/35/30/45 which is not bad at all. His personal str growth is pretty low but this patches it up quite nicely

Yep. So basically if I would wanna maximize him I think the steps would be
Give him an avoid skill from Marth
Second seal into axe fighter, get to level 10
Second seal into axe cavalier, get to level 10
Master seal into wolf knight

And if you're using Tiki you'd wanna just be sure you learn her growth skill by the time he master seals

And then all you'd have to worry about is what ring to give him. I'd say before going to cavalier he'd want that one from Marth's pool (I think?) that gives +5 hp regen a turn. But after that, just toss something like Eirika or Corrine his way.

Just finished chapter 11 and I have two master seals now. Gonna use one on Alear but now I have to decide what to do with the other one. This is the part where you start getting a ton of new characters that outclass the old ones

I really enjoyed Tiki's paralogue. It'd be brutal in Maddening Mode though.

I was doing fine til the damn continuous reinforcements!!!

I didnt have too much trouble Until Tiki and her dragon buddy came by. But using Etie, Yunaka, and Celine combined (with a bit of healing added in), I was able to finish her off It was a close one, though Alear did fine with the reinforcements with Chloe helping

So, of the Four Hounds, I know Mauvier is gonna be the only recruitable unit cause he's the only one with a personal skill.

never played any game from this series before but i would like to give it a shot. is this a good starting point?

Good as any. The mechanics are pretty straightforward. Gameplay is solid. Presentation is a bit of a mixed bag.

The gameplay in Engage is really good, but if a bad story would sour you on the franchise I'd suggest Three Houses instead.

I cannot believe I didn't get any money after chapter eleven. I absolutely cannot believe it.
