Do you have a problem?

I don't drink.

I spend less than $100/year most years.

I have never purchased alcohol for myself. And it has been years since I bought my dad a 6-pack. He quit his routine drinking shortly after his strokes on the advice of his doctors.

Rarely more then like...10-20 bucks.

Zero now but at my worst it was fifths of shitty McCormicks/other bottom shelf vodka every other day for ~$9.

So like right around $100, give or take if I decided to treat myself to something better like Russian standard.

I buy several bottles of wine a month.

There is nothing better than a good, dry red wine IMO. Anyone who thinks they do not like wine probably had the cheap mass produced sweetened crap that fills most grocery stores.

Beer hurts my stomach and is absolutely terrible for you. I appreciate good Tequila, Scotch, and Bourbon neat but I don't drink them often enough to buy bottles. Maybe 1-2 liquor bottles a year.

I probably drink one cider a month on average.

Probably right around $100 counting drinks when eating out.

Zero because I don't drink. And I appreciate that the older I get, the less people are weirded out by that. Telling people "I don't drink" in my early 20's left people with the most bewildered look lol.

Haven't had any in years

I used to spend upwards of $200 a weekend drinking. Drink prices in Australia are through the roof, a cheap carton of beer or a cheap bottle of spirits are low/mid-$40 range. You can get a ten pack of cider or mixed drinks (flavored vodka, blended whisky with dry or cola, rum and bourbon with cola) from anywhere between $20 and $40.

Fairly recently, I was drinking whatever looked fun. I was drinking these alcoholic iced teas, premixed vodka cans, bottles of gin - there's this premix brand called Wild Boar where they sell 15% strength cans of bourbon or rum, they're 4x as alcoholic as a regular can of booze.

I used to drink this artificial cider called Little Fat Lamb because it was 1.25 litres of 8% alcohol for $8.50. I had to stop that years ago because I threw up stomach lining and spent half an hour dry-retching on my bathroom floor twice in a row after drinking it. Since then, it's been the more expensive brands for me.

At the moment though, I'm going sober. 22 days clean. I drank two entire bottles of gin - two "fifths" in American terms - at my grandparents' place over Christmas without even meaning to, and that was a real wake-up call. I might have some drinks in April when I take a vacation, though I think it'd be a bad idea for my health. One reason I'm considering it is because I have a hard time socialising without it, and I wanna have a great time and make friends on my vacation.

So yeah. I used to spend over $200 a weekend on booze. For the time being though, I spend $0.

Unless cold medicine and mouthwash counts, $0.

I haven't had any alcohol in over 14 years. I only had alcohol to be sociable with my ex-mates. When I fell out with them I stopped drinking alcohol. I never liked the taste anyway.
