I am not aware of that Giant Bomb claim about the 2014 TGAs at all, got a link? Frankly I have a hard time buying it as presented. Dragon Age: Inquisition won a huge number of awards including from major publications like IGN and so on. Bayonetta 2 won a good amount but not that many. Shadow of Mordor would have been more of an alternative to both. It is kind of weird how large parts of the industry just decided on Inquisition as a compromise then promptly forgot about it. Neither Inquisition or Mordor seem to get much love these days, though that may be because those series are not in a good place. 2014 was one of the weaker years for typical GOTY contenders, my personal pick would probs be something like Tropical Freeze or maybe Shovel Knight. --- Very very slowly becoming a Final Fantasy aficionado. ...
