Do the birth standing if possible . Bring on a bed makes getting the baby out harder, where standing gravity assists in the birth. Heck I saw a video of a lady giving birth stand in a doorway and pull the baby out in under 30 seconds.

What, pray tell, are your arguments for giving birth at home rather than in a hospital? So the doula/midwife/nurse/accredited obstetrician can finally max out their achievements list?

Home births are lovely, unless there are complications (not to worry anyone). Our attitude was always better safe than sorry.

Both of ours came out like they were on rails, but plenty of people we know have had complications.

A birthing pool or (doorway?) home north cant help with complications. Then you just need to get an ambulance and hope time is on your side.

So yes. Hospital births. Kakapo approved.

Why do you ask? Standing birth does have its benefits, but ultimately it is up to the child bearer to decide what is most comfortable for them.

Oh and I am not suggesting she give birth in a doorway, that was just a video I saw, but the birth was so fast I thought I would mention it.

Exactly, and thank you for that correction. I am not saying go against doctors or anything, just trying to suggest possible ways to ease/shorten the labor to ask their doctors about.

It's totally natural to be nervous and it hurts like you wouldn't believe. But you do whatever is most comfortable for you. A lot of women have an instinct about what is best for them and every pregnancy is different. Wishing you a healthy delivery. *offers hugs*

Tried the latter, didn't work. Cost too much to try again that way so we had sex for several months during my ovulation times.

I wouldn't worry about it, you are literally a doctor so you can have the baby yourself and repair any complications you have yourself

AI is like $10,000 if not covered by insurance, and you pay it whether or not it succeeds.

So yeah, just being awkward was worth the $10k

If you get the epidural itll be fine. You really dont feel anything. You get the urge the push but no pain (I tore and I didnt even realize it).

The worst part is getting the epidural because you absolutely are not supposed to move. Do you have a support person? You need them to be good for that.

You have to progress to a certain point before they give you it. I almost missed the window on my second because I was progressing too fast. Usually the first one takes longer so you wont miss the window.
