Not human feces. Thats fucking gross. Im talking corpses! Composting human remains is now legal in New York, so its a only a matter of time until were using them as fertilizer! Would you try food grown in dead folk? Why or why not? Will this be the new foodie fad or just another twisted trend the left is trying to push on us? is this the future liberals want?

I'm not necessarily opposed to the concept, but I fully expect there to be health concerns and for research into identifying and mitigating them to run into all kinds of ideological issues (both in terms of proponents downplaying risks and opponents exaggerating them), so I'm leery of any early forays into the practice.

Funny you should mention human feces.
If you've ever had imported grapes (and 90% of grapes are), you have had food fertilized with human feces... all over those grapes.

As for human compost, there's folks who really want to be part of the land again, and modern funerary practices make being burried a slow process of turning into a giant candle, and not actually breaking down, sealed inside a metal box.

So I did a quick google search. "Human composting" is for people who want to be environmentally friendly. It's a choice like burial or cremation. It's not related to agriculture.

What exactly is the appeal of making an account and seeing how quick you can get banned?

No, but I think it be used to spark a fun/funny discussion. Im wasnt taking this thread too seriously. And I dont see how this post is mod-worthy. Im not advocating for the death of people to specifically turn them into compost or anything. Im just asking a strange, somewhat morbid question. Is it because Im poking fun at the this is the future liberals want rhetoric so often used so often by right-wing pundits? I thought it was clear that was sarcasm. Not to mention people say far worse in actual political discourse on this forum So, please, explain to me why you think Im going to get banned for this thread.

That's actually not that uncommon. It's called night soil. They take the material from sewage treatment plants, process it to kill any pathogens that might be present, then sell it to farmers to spread on their fields. It's cheaper than synthetic fertilizers, which are often made from fossil fuels, and recycles something that would otherwise have to be disposed of by other methods such as landfills.

It's generally not used on crops which are directly used for human feed (at least, not in the US), but it is used for crops fed to animals or used for industrial purposes, such as corn.
