IIRC correctly, Midge came back later in the show (s6?) and fought with Joanne over Bob's affections.

Sadly, Midge's actress (Tanya Roberts) passed away last year.

Man, that's sad, it also means that in show her character's last ride is basically ditching, coming back, losing and having to disappear forever. What a sour ending for the character I doubt they'll recast her, I didn't really like Laurie's recast either like they didn't know what to do with her, maybe they should have reconed her out like Donna's little sister from the pilot episode

My guess is they'll just say Hyde died or is in prison for a long time instead of recasting him. If they even mention him at all.
