A good friend of mine pointed out that I really thrive on stories with really intense magic battles in really well paced stories with very likable adult characters who I wanna see survive. I wanna SEE intense magic battles, please recommend shows, movies, and Graphic Novels where I'll get to see these. Emphasis on the word SEE, as I'm trying to cut back on the amount of visual free Ebooks I read so so I don't get burnt out again. I love Lightbringer 1: The Black Prism, and I know about The Wheel of Time and Mistborn. They're not what I'm looking for right now. Also, hopefully this goes without saying, but please don't recommend fiddler crap. That's not cool. By shows and movies I mean both live action and anime. Some of my fave anime titles like this are: Slayers Blast of Tempest Fate/Zero Stigma of the Wind Slayers(fave comedy anime.) Gunslinger Stratos Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign Log Horizon Fairy Tail Some of my more recent faves like this are: The Misfit of Demon King Academy Bofuri: invulnerable MMO Fire Force Record Of Grancrest War(fave anime.) Afterlost Cop Craft Something someone mentioned that I migh wanna check out: Black Clover(They never told me the average age of the main cast, can someone please help.) Memory is a joke so I can't think of many live action fantasy shows or movies that nail this, but I do really really love Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. Buffy and Angel are my 2 favorite shows, but they didn't really have the budget for cool looking magic spells. Also, please don't assume that I know about something just because it's super popular. Especially movies. There's a reason that the only examples I've given are Star Wars titles. There's way too many books like this that are among my faves, but I can say that really love a lot of sci-fi fantasy graphic novels that Image Comics has published like The Sword, and Invincible. Someone on another forum mentioned DCeased and said that that's got a lot of magic battles. I'm also currently reading through the manga Frieren, it's about the journeys of a Mage elf decades after her adventuring party saved the world from The Demon Lord. Love it So, what can you recommend? The fights are ALWAYS super creative, and basically all of the MCs spells are critical to his wins. Its more of an action comedy adventure, but when it gets serious, it knows to put its baby toys away. Dismissing any of them offhand just seems odd to me when after 1-2 episodes you know for sure 99 times out of 100 if it's up your alley.
