Time for my annual tradition of ranking every feature length movie I watched all the way through in 2022.

This ranking is based solely on my own subjective enjoyment. It doesn't necessarily matter if a movie was better made on a technical level over another, this is based purely on my gut-reaction enjoyment/appreciation for each film. So here they are: All 154 movies I watched for the first time in 2022, from my least favorite to favorite.

I watched this in 2006 or so and buried it somewhere in my mind. A few years ago, my SO wanted to watch something weird so we watched it together. It was better than I remembered and we both really enjoyed it.

Yeah, I just stumbled across it on a couple of "weird movie" lists and decided to check it out on a whim. It's so bat shit crazy, I loved it.

Idk, im just picky about my comedies sometimes, I know a lot of people liked Police Academy tho.

The City of Lost Children is fantastic. Also Ron Pearlman was amazing in that role.

Goddamn you watch a lot of movies. I'd be shocked if I've seen 150 movies in the past decade.

I'd say movie watching is probably my primary hobby.

City of Lost Children was enjoyable. Definitely watch it before playing the PS1 game.

If Lightyear was Andy's favorite movie, Andy had really bad taste.

It was just so generic, the "plot twists" were predictable and disappointing, most of the comedy didn't land for me. (Except Sox, he was the film's highlight).

I went in wanting to like it, but just came out of it feeling really disappointed. Which is a shame, cause Chris Evans I think was a solid pick as his VA.

I've seen 25 out of the 154. Fargo is probably my favorite.

When I heard about it I just went ahead and bought it on Blu-Ray in a whim cause it looked cool lol.

I really need to up my forgeign film watching this year. 2022 I focused on horror and non-Disney animation; I think that trend is gonna contunue this year, but def wanna up the amount of foreign films this year, even outside of those 2 genres.

I'm a huge disc collector, so all of the films on that list were films I bought, either last year or at the tail end of the prior year (Current, Wolfwalkers and Merry-Go-Round, for example, came out on Blu-ray in December of 2021). So my list is basically just my reaction to movies coming out on Blu-ray. The sort-of-exceptiion is the two Patrick Bokanowski films. I'm not sure when those discs came out.

If you like David Lynch's early works - Eraserhead and before - you'll definitely get something out of Patrick Bokanowski's first three films. His later work is more conventional 'experimental cinema' fare, which is fantastic but not mind blowing like the early work.
