Don't forget workplace accidents and deaths with more safety regulations being removed and or not enforced anymore or food poisoning for the same reason, meanwhile corporations have record breaking profits and the power gap between them and government is growing so large in a few years it won't be too crazy to imagine an entire country being owned by corporations or 1 mega corporation

But what are the numbers of mass drug overdoses?

I never said mass shootings weren't an issue, just that they aren't really as frequent or as big of an issue as it seems considering the size of the United States. I randomly picked automobiles and drug deaths and they are far greater than gun deaths considering 60% of gun deaths in a year are suicides.

705 in a population of 333, 287, 559 people and 19,000 cities isn't really as big of a problem as the number seems. If it was a small country or confined to a single state, then yes, it would be a gigantic issue.

Another example is that there is about a 0.0003% chance of a school having a shooting in the USA, but the running joke is it happens all the time.

When you look at the big picture, there are much more concerning issues.

This is a national crisis and we need to start treating it as such. All forms of assault rifles (or whatever you want to call them) should have never been made legal and certainly never mass produced for the general public. Same story with pistols, to be honest, and I absolutely love shooting pistols.

The most we should have is double barrel shotguns, revolvers, and hunting rifles.

you aren't understanding that 705 incidents of mass shootings in one year and accelerating per year, substantially, is ridiculous. you would rather wait until there was mass shootings as common as the flu for it to be considered a gigantic issue

When you look at the big picture, there are much more concerning issues.

since when did everyone start waiting until one issue is resolved before even thinking about another one? if you ever voted, you would see several issues on a ballot up for vote, not just one at a time. not everyone is crippled to the point they can only think about solving 1 issue per lifetime.

That website is only for the last 40 years were as my statistic for the UK is for the last 122 years. Big difference!

They count 3 people getting shot (injured) in public as a "mass shooting". I almost feel like there needs to be a distinction between Oxford/Parkland or Colorado Springs and drunk dickheads getting angry and shooting people because they're mad or whatever the majority of these other types of shootings are.

Exactly my point when it comes to school shootings. We waste resources across the board on something that is incredibly unlikely to occur in most places.

Some places do need these precautions. Most don't.

94% of school shootings occur in public schools and only 6% in private. Gun violence is an issue in places, but it isn't anywhere near across-the-board in the US like everyone makes it out to be.
