Two nights ago at work I called in a suspicious vehicle to the police thinking it was a drunk driver. They ended up arresting the driver but I wasn't told/didn't ask what happened. In the morning when the police report came out I was absolutely stunned. I still feel kinda sick that something so heinous was happening 100 feet away and I had no clue.

Idk why im posting this here but typing it out somewhere is relieving...

Of all the things that never happened, this never happened the most.

Did it just happen or did it happen two nights ago?

I feel like Im missing details/posts. How did TC know about and stop the abduction and how did he know the dude was a furry?

He was calling the police on what he assumed was drunk driver. And it really was a sick man. Who had a seem to be a furry given his twitter account.

I didn't know anything at the time. I called in a car that in my gut felt like it needed to be called in (Ill type out the story below.) and the cops showed up and a kidnapped kid was in the back.

That's the thing. A small act of attentiveness and doing the right thing is sometimes all it takes to be a hero. It might not be something huge like negotiating a peace treaty that avoids a war and lasts for generations, but for the family at least it means the world that you spoke up.

TC had seen an amber alert for a car matching the description so called it in.

I had no idea there was an Amber Alert or a missing kid from Utah. I guess Amber alerts only go out to the state in which the kidnapping took place.

Kudos, TC. This is a great reminder that there are good people in the world despite what the media wants us to believe.

Here are the reasons I called in the car not knowing it was being looked for. Also I never call the police for anything... Im pretty good at resolving conflicts and not holding grudges so nothing usually needs police intervention, even unruly customers.

1) The car pulled up to a gas pump and sat there for an unusually long time. Ive worked overnights for awhile and I know roughly what the reasonable amount of time someone is willing to spend sitting in a gas station parking lot (to roll weed, talk on the phone, wait for someone to deal them drugs, fight with their SO) and this guy was here way longer than normal. Nobody ever exited the vehicle.

2) I went to do some outside work and thye license plate was completely covered and the side windows were covered with something black.

3) The car finally leaves the lot but starts heading the wrong way down a one-way (theres a median that splits the road near our exit).

4) The car flips a U-Turn over the median going the wrong way again BACK into our parking lot.

5) The car sits at another gas pump for an unusually long time again not ever getting out to pump gas or come inside.

6) The car finally starts to leave but pulls into a small gravel outlet road extending from the lot and proceeded to park diagonally blocking the whole road. He sits there for another 20 minutes or so.

7) I finally go outside and approach the car and try to get their attention by yelling and waving. At this point I thought maybe someone needed help or that a drunk driver had passed out at the wheel or something but no one answered and no way in hell im walking up to a strange car at night

I went back inside and watched it for another five minutes before talking myself into calling the non-emergency number. The police showed up 3-4 minutes later.

That twitter is fucked up. Keeps referring to "his little lamb" and mentions them going on a road trip and shows a bunch of weeds vapes and shit. Fucking hell.
