or , are there any philipino restaurants by you?

there's filipino restaurants, but i don't like the food all that much.

im filipino and i like filipino food

there are a bunch of filipino restaurants where i live.

sadly, my favorite one was shut down cuz of the economic effects of covid. it was great. it was a chinese restaurant that just cooked filipino food. you could get salt and pepper chicken wing silog plates. i miss it.

I do but don't often get to eat it

My parents go to a catholic church which has a portion of its members as Filipinos. They do gatherings with food sometimes and occasionally I am willing to go with my parents to eat that Filipino food.

My parents think they are planting seeds of faith in God. Getting me exposed to church culture. I am just enjoying the food

Can't say I've had it. I think there was a Jollibee around here but I never went. I would assume it's not a great example of real Filipino cuisine, anyway.

Adobo, pancit, and lumpias are all great.

jollibees is the best

and yeah, my ancestors 500 years ago werent eating fried chicken and spaghetti

but they was missing out. Ima eat it.

Jollibee isnt great, but my wife (whos Filipino) loves it. Pretty much every item on the menu is something Id much rather have at a different restaurant. The spaghetti in particular is way too sweet.

Anyway, I like some Filipino food. Adobo and pancit are pretty good, if a little generic. I really like Filipino menudo and loooove Kare Kare and Sisig when theyre made well. Shanghai and Halo Halo are also great but I tend to not be able to eat a whole lot in one sitting.

My wife really likes Sinigang, liver, chicken feet and dishes with bitter melon and I can never get into any of that.

It's probably my least favorite cuisine.
