i enjoyed infinity war more despite endgames 750 million grossing increase difference

I think Infinity War was the better movie in its own right, but Endgame was a very satisfying conclusion to it and the entire MCU up to that point and I don't think Infinity War would be as good as it is if Endgame hadn't achieved that.

Endgame was a much more satisfying ending and thats why it made so much more money

Infinity War had more action though, understandably so. Thats why people like that one more.

I voted Endgame though. That poor movie gets no fucking love

Infinity War was by far the best Avengers movie unless Civil War counts (technically it was a Captain America movie, but...come on....).
Endgame was the worst, I even liked the 2nd better than it. Way too long, bunch of stupid time travel bull shit, end fight scene was a mix of awful and cringe.... It's the only Avengers movie I have no desire to ever watch again, it was a chore to sit thru.

I'd agree with all of this, with the added note that a large part of the appeal of Endgame is the constant callbacks to earlier films. Endgame doesn't stand on its own as strongly as Infinity War does, but it relies on familiarity with all of the previous films to really shine.

Because of that, I find it hard to compare the two because they're very different films trying to do very different things. But push come to shove, I'd probably give Infinity War the edge.

This really captures what Endgame did well. It was fanservice through and through: Revisiting familiar scenes, having every character imaginable show up in various settings, the massive final battle with everyone fighting at their absolute strongest... Everything about it pointed to it being a final celebration of the franchise up to that point, and it did a great job of that. The flip side of focusing so much on fanservice, though, is that as its own movie, it wasn't as strong.

No competition, the ending to infiity war, especially if you avoided spoilers/saw it right away, was freaking genius. Best freaking ending ever. The whole thing was good mind you, but the ending was one of the best endings in any movie ever, totally rocked.

I liked end game, but mostly liked end game because of the lead up to it, it wasn't memorable like infinity war at all in my opinion. It's kinda like comparing Guardians of the Galaxy (so freaking good), to guardians of the galaxy 2 (I don't even wanna rewatch it once). Same with endgame, except the best part can't really be rewatched with the same impact....but it still is impactful....just not the same.

Freaking can't believe infinity war didn't win any awards tbh.

Infinity War by a long shot. Just too much fan service in End Game. Was i supposed to cry or something at an action flick? No thank you.
