yea it is. cow bones mostly.

there are vegan marshmellows (I buy these) they taste like lucky charm marshmellows (but lucky charms are not vegan iirc). i mean the vegan ones are good.

I got this ice cream because toasted ice cream sounded good, I thought it would taste kinda like smores

im disappointed with it though, its ok but it tastes more like the marshmallows in lucky charms cereal

Marshmallow is just meringue like on lemon meringue pie, but gelatin has been added to it to make it set. Then it's covered in powdered sugar to keep it from being sticky.

Egg whites + hot sugar syrup + flavoring extract + gelatin = marshmallow

I've made marshmallows before, though I prefer coconut extract over vanilla extract. The only headache is slicing the still sticky marshmallows into squares because it sometimes sticks to the knife. I use it for hot chocolate and I'll cut myself a huge piece for my cup.

Marshmallows were a sweet delight in ancient Egypt, literally made from the "marsh mallow" root. That shit we have now isn't marshmallow >_>
