I love how the solution to Luffy's insane strength is to just have him get stuck for a quarter of each arc.

Just finished up Enies Lobby, and GOT DAYUMN.

Still in Water 7, but I think it's starting to wrap up.

Sanji's now our only hope of getting to Robin.

They're screwed.

I love when Luffy gets chances to prove why he's captain.

On an out of control train, barreling through an insanely huge storm, but Luffy is focused on uniting the 3 opposing groups to fight against a common enemy,

Luffy can be real badass when he wants to be.

One of my favorite things about Luffy is that he can remind you exactly why he's the captain one minute, then turn around and remind you that he is also a colossal fucking idiot the next.

lmao, you're 100% right. It's really amazing how far he's managed to make it. Also, like, his crew knows he's an idiot, but that's never really a problem or a major point of contention. It's his spirit and strength that they're following, which is honestly pretty great, and I think a major part of what makes this show so endearing.

now i'm at thriller bark, and it's just weird.

At first I didn't love Franky, but he's growing on me. I already know he becomes a permanent crewmember somehow, but I'm looking forward to it now. He's got a good spirit once you know more about him.

I may skip the One Piece theme song, but I will never, ever skip the Sogeking theme song.

Fuck it, I think Sogeking is my favorite thing Ussop has ever done. He really managed to bring his likeablity back up after being kinda annoying for the last little bit. >_>

he said her breasts are growing because she is still young and her body is still developing

not the best answer to explain why her breasts went from normal human breasts to larger than her head but its still an answer

It's gratuitous fan service and dressing it any other way is simply dishonest.

Decent ways into the Enis Lobby portion of the arc.

I will say, I think so far I liked the Water 7 part of the arc more, but we'll see where it all ends up.

plenty of female fans do. ive spoken to several who hate how sexualized the women are and ive spoken to some who dont care at all. but overall i tend to see more women who dont like it than those that are completely indifferent

and then some women just want to see zoro with his pants off

Yeah, I honestly think it's kinda nice when Luffy gets his ass kicked, weirdly. Like, obviously I'm rooting for him, but I know he's gonna be (in the long run) fine in the end, and he's typically so OP, it's a nice change of pace when he gets his ass beat a little.

I think the first like, really major time that happened was with Crocodile. Hell, didn't he technically lose to Croc twice before finally beating him?

As I've mentioned once or twice before, most of the time they solve Luffy's OPness by just getting him stuck somewhere for half the arc, so I'm cool with a good ass beating every now and then to get him in gear.

I loved the Skypiea arc, but the fact that he spent 40% of that arc trapped inside a giant snake, and another 20% incapacitated by the giant gold ball on his arm, it was a little silly tbh. At least it gave a lot of the other characters a good chance to shine tho.

Yeah it definitely made an impression when he got his ass kicked by Crocodile not once but twice. Crocodile has always been pretty boss.

Best villain.

it's funny how Luffy really isn't an underdog protagonist. He basically steamrolled the East Blue, so yeah Croc was his first actual challenge

Crocodile I think is still the greatest overall of the "Big Bads" they've fought so far. I liked Enaru, but idk, Crocodile just came across more menacing, while Enaru, while threatening, was cocky about himself in a different way than Croc was, felt like a frat boy that accidentally stumbled across god powers.

And then Splenda or whatever the fuck his name is, is... around. I feel like (and kinda hope) Pigeon Man fully takes over as the big bad, because Splenda's real grating.

And then best early big bad I guess would probably go to Arlong, follwed by maybe the captain of the black cats or whatever it was.
