Pyre is a shockingly good game. Similar to you, I didn't give it as much time of day because I thought it looked like some sort of weird high fantasy NBA jam, but it's actually incredibly fun and is one of those games where your choices actually do have meaningful consequences.

I really dont understand the love Hades gets. The combat was fun and the art and music were great. But theres like 10 enemies and 5 bosses total all of which have gigantic HP bars and take 10min to kill and if you make one mistake there goes half your HP

I finished a run after my 6th or 7th run and the only thing I can do is play the exact same game but now the enemies have even more HP and hit harder. To each their own (and clearly my opinion is unpopular) but it was one of my most disliked games ever. I just dont get it

Hades was great until I got through to Hades and realized there's four bosses and it's a pretty easy game. Haven't finished it yet because I just can't muster up the effort for something so short and inconsequential. The enemy variety is pathetic too and more than a couple of them need to be cheesed to breeze past them. Knock Back on attack > push into wall > dead

I don't dislike the game, not really; it's OK and I only paid $10 or something for it at the time when it was on sale, so I'm not mad. For ~$10, it was a good deal. It's just not a great game and it's super fuckin' short and repetitive. Don't be a blind fanboy.
