Most people share more in common with conquerors that the conquered just by virtue of how conquest works. That being said the Avatar movies are generally anti colonialism and anti conquest which in the grand scheme of things is a very new and progressive take on the general theme of human history. What are you demanding here? A story where the technologically primitive natives win without any help from outsiders? In the US specifically which is the comparison you are trying to make to the natives lost. Conclusively.
