Pretty much.
You can expect the reaction, but its never ok to hit someone unless theyre cut-and-clear about to harm you, and theyll face negative life-changing repercussions for doing so almost every time. This topics a very toxic message to spread, because someone influenced by such a messagell screw their life up because they took to heart guidance from romanticized morals of individuals divorced from reality.

Despite what CE wants to believe, real life isnt filled with likeminded middle-aged hate-filled people, and they may be shocked to discover that the real world doesnt run on the rules found in anime land.

The NAZI wannabe dude was the instigator, but the hoodie guy was the initial aggressor by making first contact (based on the given footage).

Notice that the one who got dropped quicker than a phonecall under a bad signal posed no physical threat by displaying yielding mannerisms. He didn't even know how to block.

That whole sitch was an overall tragic-comedy. One will probably live with permanent molar damage while the other will have a felony record.

And all for what?

It worked wonders for Richard Spencer. Dude got punched in a very public way, became a meme, and ended his fucking career as the spokesperson for the alt-right. I think it's because so much of right wing bullshit is focused on being hyper masculine and "tough". So being clowned on and dropped in such a public way it basically made him look weak and the right basically just sort of moved away from him.

It's a shame we stopped treating Nazis like we did in WWII, why is that. Fighting back against bullies was always the sure-fire way to get them to stop messing with you. Also you can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

Wearing an armband in no way makes one's intent clear. No matter how horrific the symbol, he's not commiting an act of violence for wearing it.

I think it's pretty obvious that punching people in the face is not okay, unless done in self defense. This case lacks context but it doesn't look like it was self defense.
