Sandman, the Marvel shows, Kenobi, and Strange New Worlds are all I've seen so far. Sandman's by far the best of those.

Shows how much I've paid attention to new shows this year, I thought Severance was a drama about someone being forced out of their family business and trying to keep control of it or something like that.

Might end up being 1899 when I get around to watching it - absolutely loved Dark - but for now, voting Severance. Loved it so much and considering my own work situation, hit too close to home in a lot of ways.

Also shoutout to @FFDragon who made a topic about the show, calling it "feeling like a constant panic attack" or something, that intrigued me, read the synopsis for the first few episodes and then stopped there & decided to just watch it myself. Didn't get around to it until a few months later so couldn't thank him in that topic, but yeah, I probably never would have if I didn't see that topic! The power of advertising

Also watched through the show again with my parents when I visited them and they loved it too, doing my part to spread the good word

Maybe you're thinking of Succession? It's also a one word title beginning with S!

I've only seen Severance of these, enjoyed it a lot though. I've heard praise for Andor but I also heard a lot of good things about Mandalorian and I didn't 'get' that in the slightest. I'm still too sour on Thrones to give House of the Dragon a shot, 1899 looks cool though.

Aw yeah I'm glad you liked it! I was trying to get as many eyes on it as I could because I haven't been so engrossed with a show in a long time. Happy to have helped.

But yeah my anxiety was at peak levels in all the right ways the entire way through

Also worth checking out that debuted this year:

From on Epix, which is an outstanding horror that feels inspired by Stephen King.

Shining Vale on Starz, which is a hilarious and surprisingly deep spoof on haunted house stuff.

Inside Job on Netflix, which is an awesome animated comedy about a group in the deep state secretly manipulating the world.

Outer Range on Amazon Prime, which is about a giant ass hole in the ground on a range in Texas where everyone's mind is slowly deteriorating over it.

The Peripheral on Amazon Prime, currently running! It's pretty good and about a VR world and shady government stuff.

The Resort on Peacock, which is about a couple investigating the mysterious disappearance of two kids on this resort during a hurricane.

Yellowjackets on Showtime (cheating a bit since it started late November and ended in January), about a group of girls that crash land in the Ozarks and struggle to survive, while we also see how they are in the present. Incredible show, and probably my favorite out of these.

I will add to that Archive 81 on Netflix which was sadly cancelled after one series despite strong reception. Really good mix of supernatural horror and sci-fi concepts. It does at least resolve the main season story though there are a lot of threads left unresolved and a huge cliffhanger.

I havent gotten around to them yet but shout-out to The Midnight Club and Guillermo del Toros Cabinet of Curiosities also. Speaking of shows that were cancelled after one season, I didnt watch Paper Girls but the comics are great and it got a pretty good reception. There really was a ton of stuff this year.
