It's easy to fall down a lore rabbit hole with this one. I'm pretty excited for the dlc.

Finished the Pokedex for the first time since Red.

My shiny charm caused me to encounter my first shiny...an Oinkologne. I'm cursed.

I'm going to assume the boxes of Eevee eggs I've been stockpiling over the last couple hours wont pan out either.

Are there any gym trainers in Artazon? If its just this Sunflors Hide n Seek lol

Finally finished the game!

Man, I love that ending. And the twist (major spoilers obviously) regarding Professor Turo and how it affects Arvel is pretty gut wrenching. Poor guy. And lol that final batlte (pre-Miraidon), I had to resort to stalling it out with Revives until the Iron Valiant succumbs to the bad poison from 2x Toxic Spikers. Clodsire MVP.

after 9 generations of playing at least one game per generation i FINALLY have my second shiny (not counting red gyarados)!! a Hoppip!

and I also finished EV/hyper training my VGC team for the ladder when it drops on 12/1 (assuming they fix the RNG seeding issue). let's go!!

Ill likely have to make some changes to add in speed control which Im sorely lacking, but in rudimentary testing on showdown it wasnt causing too many problems (although i think the players there are likely to be a bit worse than what Ill face on ladder).

what i lack in speed i make up for in bulk though, as everything except the two paradox mons is running max HP, and most of the hyper offensive cores cant take any hits back

the main things are just to be prepared for the biggest metagame threats: chien-pao + tera normal dragonite, and flutter mane + chi-yu.

Ive been able to beat those pretty consistently but most of the dragonite players in particular arent really thinking ahead much and I can pretty much always get a burn on him while he ESpeeds into Arcanines partner.

i also have a great matchup into Torkoal teams, but Im struggling a bit more against less common threats like garganacl and Dondozo x Tatsugiri.

but Ill give it a go for the season and then make edits or changes as needed. the first potential change on the docket if ESpeed dragonite continues to dominate the metagame is to swap sylveon to tera ghost type, and helping hand to tera blast (ghost). the more things on my team that can avoid that, the better.

That's a cool team.

Bad news Skiddo is female. So is the Teddiursa actually.

Eevee is male.

Well I thought I had 150 Eevee eggs but apparently I bred more Eevees than I thought. I had 7 boxes of eggs.

Unfortunately that 1 in 7 didn't pan out over the bunch. It ended up 1 in 210ish.

Wonderful, I have the Fuecoco but it's not registered in my pokedex because the game shut itself down mid trade. No matter, I'll just breed one I guess.

Was kicking myself for not doing the Eevee raids, but I didn't think there'd be a need for it at the time, haha.

I saw an eevee outbreak symbol on the map but the only eevee I found turned out to be a ditto :(

6-star raids are such a good way to get 5-6iv Pokemon. So much better than having to breed from scratch.

I've got a spare Malicious Armor if anyone with Scarlet wants to trade Charcadets, evolve them, and trade back. Or I can just do a Ceruledge for Armarouge trade if you don't care about being the OT.

whipped up some quick substitutes for my VGC team and now Im using a grand total of 0 Gen 9 Pokmon.

oh well, it is what it is. Thats what happens when they disallow all of the coolest new Pokmon from the first series :(

after laddering with this for a while Ill probably train up a new team using some gen 9 mon

Outbreaks next to towns are pretty cool. Got two shiny Shuppets from one right outside Zapipico or whatever it's called.

While looking at my profile I noticed that I had met two shiny pokmon, and I, uh, didn't recall ever seeing any.
Apparently the blue Snorunt I had caught at some point wasn't just blue because it was female and I have a shiny Froslass now.

Now, does evolving a shiny pokmon increase the amount of shiny pokmon encountered, or did I unknowingly defeat another shiny pokmon?

Yes. Evolution counts as +1 shiny encounter.
