It only shows shinies you've battled or evolved, so unless you're not paying attention to your battles and miss the shiny animation, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

But we've all probably missed at least one overworld shiny due to lack of sound. :(

Especially so for me since I'm partially colorblind v_v

Releasing a 7 star raid after just two weeks...come on. I played almost nonstop on weekends and have yet to unlock 6 stars
I don't have a Pokemon that will be able to face it anyway
And it's for only 2 (3?) day

Got a shiny Sneasel in Area Zero. Got Corviknight there earlier too. I wonder if the rate is slightly boosted there

I support voice acting in future mainline Pokemon games. It would be hell to do voice acting for the random NPCs in the game, so the voice acting work should be focused on the main characters first (plus those with given names). NPCs could have text dialogue instead.

The anime voice actors could be considered for the voice acting roles in future mainline games that have voice acting.

Reports say that the item duplication glitch was fixed in the patch

So why sometimes in a raid battle the cursor change and is not choosing the move I used previously?
This is so fucking dumb especially considering how the raids are time based
I just lost a raid because of this

Also this is after I patched the game

Raids are super buggy in general. Once I had the Pokemon hit zero HP, suddenly rebound back to almost half, hit zero again, regain about a fifth, and then finally faint the third time it hit zero. And no, it wasn't something with recovery options.

Some random thoughts I have about the future of the franchise-

I thought about the "ever expanding" nature of Pokemon. Ever since Gen 2 introduced 100 new Pokemon in a new region, Pokemon already got that "endless" potential
There is no limit to the amount of new regions they can make in the Pokemon world, and therefore no limit to the amount of new Pokemon
That stayed true for 5 generations...but then they took more steps and made a already "endless" series even more "endless"

Gen 6 introduced "multi-universe" - which we didn't see anything come out of it besides being a excude for no Mega Evolution in other games, but the potential is there

Gen 7 introduced regional forms - which means that almost every Pokemon in existence can have a alternate form in one of the endless regions
Gen 7 also introduced Ultra Wormholes - which means that we can have "Pokemon that are not really Pokemon" come from outer space. (Granted we didn't see anything besides Ultra Beasts and they never made us of it after gen 7, but still)
Gen 7 also introduced Meltan - which comes from the far past

Gen 8 introduced another regional form of a Pokemon that already has a regional form - which means that every Pokemon in existence can have multiple regional forms
It also introduced regional evolutions, which means every Pokemon we know can evolve into another species altoghther
Legends Arceus also introduced Pokemon from the (not so distant) past that are extinct today

Gen 9 introduced different take of old Pokemon - a new species that look similar to the species we know - but is totally different (Wiglett line and that "Tentacool with legs" line)
But then they took things much farther and introduced...past (prehistoric) and future forms of Pokemon (and time travel in general)

Now this is just my opinion but the potential of this is HUGE
Suddenly, the idea that I hated so much that is brought up by Genwunners, having a game of only the original 151 again, and Kanto, again, sounds good to me
If somehow that game is set in the present and you can travel to the prehistoric past or the distant future, see how Kanto changed and encounter past and future forms of the original 151 (Well, obviously Porygon and Mewtwo won't have past forms, and maybe Koffing and Grimmer as well)
It would be a win for everyone. The genwunners will be happy with their "original 151" and the regular players will be excited to see new take of the original Pokemon

visiting my sister's world while she takes on the Poison Base is hilarious, I can see her running around the base and calling out her pokemon but I don't see anything else

I beat my first base today. It wasnt quite what I expected, but wasnt bad I guess l. Felt a lot more uneventful than they made it sound. Id have preferred just fighting a bunch of trainers instead of auto battles until the boss shows up tbh

Raids so often feel really bad to play in. Can't even pick a fucking move because my menu gets interrupted four times, and for some reason at least one of those times brings me back to the Battle/Cheer/Run menu instead of where I was, picking a move

I hate how information propagates on the internet. Early posts were "Bring Azumarill to Charizard". It is almost all that comes up if you search google on how to beat the Charizard. Now everyone brings this dumb thing to the Charizard Tera raids and all they do is die. They either get stuck in an endless loop of heal cheer til death or cast rain dance and get murdered by hurricane.

Flutter Mane and Sylveon seem like the best from videos I've seen of people soloing it.

People need to realize two things -
1.It might be the effect of closing the game (assuming it was on sleep mode for days) because the memory leak thing IS real
2.Their game experience now is different to how it was a week ago/two weeks ago
Most players are probably no longer entering those random cities (because they have nothing to do there if they already beat the gym) no more cutscenes, fewer trainer battles etc. No clue what exactly makes the memory leak thing, but it might be one of those and if they don't do that anymore maybe this is why it performs better for them

It might also just be psychological, like people wanting to believe the patch actually improved things

the opposite is also true tbh

I haven't hard closed the game since the update and it still seems to be performing the same as it was yesterday. I feel like I would've had a crash by now if there weren't any fixes.

I mean the framerate is less choppy, background animations less slowed, shadows and models aren't constantly blinking in and out of existence. Pop-in, for instance is still rampant of course, but this kind of performance wasn't possible the previous time I played. And I regularly closed the game to clear the memory leak since the beginning.

Okay I can definitely see shadows scrolling in with the rest of the world now. Though I don't think I notice any specific performance gain.

The Ruin Pokemon music is the best legendary theme since Xerneas/Yveltal, at minimum

I guess pre-patch performance reports varied wildly too, so it's hard to say.

In terms of performance, this is small but it feels like autobattling executes faster now, both with selecting the next target and actually starting the battle once your Pokmon is in the overworld.

Just noticed the border at the top right side of the map and wanted to check what's the deal with that

Internet people speculate this is the border with France (Kalos) and we might get there someday
But knowing Gamefreak and knowing that we asked to travel for a previous region for like 7 generations now and it never happened, this won't happen either
This also won't happen because fans theories never proved to be real either..ever (Wondering if that damn Power Planet in Kalos will exist in the 2028? remakes)

But it does look like they will make us of it in the future (altough it looks too small to be DLC imo)

I should clarify that they seem to run at a higher framerate that's still extremely visible in how choppy it is.

Game Freak having the development time to implement Kalos isn't even remotely plausible.

Havent seen the ghost dog yet, but eventually I will run into it. Im over by the VTubers city. I keep expecting it to show up around these haunted looking ruin remains, but its usually just dumb junk there like Bronzor

Do you recall where it is mentioned in game or what was said about the area?

All they have to do is limit it to the unexplorable South Kalos area from X/Y's map and then they don't have to recreate anything except maybe the small train station town.

I was just going through Arfonada and thought the memory leak was finally creeping up on me after two days, but a reboot showed me that no, this area is just ass still.

Man what was this gym test before the Psychic gym. It feels like they started out wanting to do a Simon-style memory game, but then were afraid of it having even a single shred of challenge, so in the end it's just a drawn out nothingness waste of time.

You can replay it later (for berries) and it guess faster and can get somewhat challenging

If it isn't Kalos then DLC could be either Poke Portugal, Poke Andorra or Poke Canary Islands I guess.

Depends how big they feel like going with the DLC. If they already have a "mid-generation" game planned, like a remake or another Arceus-esque, it'll be smaller. But if they don't, I could see the DLC being quite large.

I wouldn't be surprised if they start doing more substantial DLC in replacement of mid-generation games, though. Less effort while still bringing in the cash flow.

Isn't Portugal already part of the region? It should be the western part, unless that's still just Spain and Poke Portugal is an island for some reason.
