What kind of driver most negatively impacts your road experience?

Drivers who zoom down a turn lane/exit lane during traffic passing 40 cars and then chiseling back over thereby slowing down traffic tremendously.

Putting drunks on there is misleading, when Pennsylvania and Michigan drivers are equal or worse.

drunk driver is the obvious worst one here, but truck drivers alludes to another one that's very bad -- people who drive while sleepy.

drunk drivers are the worst but your qualification of which most negatively impacts your road experience is kind of silly because a drunk driver has never impacted my road experience despite them still being the worst

Honestly racers since I don't notice drunk drivers much. They definitely cause an outsized amount of destruction, but I don't know if it's much different than a bad non-drunk driver.

People who drive too passively are honestly the worst, as someone who drives daily in a city of over 3 million.

People who wait for an invitation to do anything on the road are awful drivers. Just drive. We will let you in we aren't going to just run into you jesus

Slooooow drivers on a narrow two way lane. And the worst ones having the gall to have this disgusted look on their face when you finally pass them.

Racer drivers are usually a danger to themselves rather than to you unless they are the type to tailgate and cut you off at every turn.

Drunk drivers are objectively the worst but I vote slow drivers because drunk drivers are much rarer and they usually end up getting caught and penalized anyway.

This. Those people are the bane of my existence.

Also the passive drivers yeah, they slow down traffic because they don't know how to drive and it's infuriating!

While slow drivers can be inconvenient, as long as they are consistent doing that and aren't having wildly fluctuating speeds, they aren't massive hazards to road safety like speed demons, drunk drivers, and non-signaling drivers are.

Drunk > non-signaler > speed demon > slow

As someone who has never been comfortable driving I have sympathy for slow drivers. The others are less forgivable (and of course drunk drivers are the worst)

Slow driving is completely fine imo, but hesitant or fearful is horribly dangerous.

Driving slow in the fast lane isn't really passive to me. Usually they are doing it on purpose and it's a form of road rage. Like "I'm going the speed limit, so obviously I can be in the left lane". A few times they are too afraid to merge because everyone is passing them on the right because they're too slow. You can tell the difference in body language.

I am already driving 20-30% km/h above the allowed speed, don't flash/horn me
If you want to be a criminal and drive at double the allowed speed then that's your problem, I am not leaving my lane because of this

depends entirely on where you are

if you are driving on the 400 series of highways in southern ontario canada (401/402/403), then no, it isn't a passing lane. no one treats it like that

if its 3 lanes its 100, 115, 130 right to left, and if you are consistently in a lane and not driving it's typical speed, you're being annoying

I'm usually fine with consistently slow drivers. The ones I don't like are the (probably distracted) drivers who vary their speed a bunch, especially in moments like when you go to pass them and they suddenly speed up. Like it snaps them out of their inattention. And then without fail they begin slowing down again after another minute or two.

i am in small cities but i live in Toronto and if you are slow and passive etc you're literally the most annoying driver

In my shitty country one of the most important highways has 2 fucking lanes
So no I am not going to drive on the slower one together with all the trucks and old drivers

So if my speed limit is 90 km/h but I am driving at 120 km/h and someone behind me decided he is sucidal and driving at 160 km/h, fuck him

your logic is objectively bad

if someone is an unsafe driver, you want them to be away from you rather than directly behind or in front. just move to the right lane for 3 seconds if someone wants to go faster than you, it's not hard

there's no perfect speed to be going, and there are (in your case) only two lanes. if you genuinely believe "everyone slower than me is a ninny and everyone faster than me is a psycho" i don't know what to tell you

You put drunk drivers there, and that's like having a ringer. If we set them aside, then slow drivers who slow down in intersections for seemingly no other reason than to force you to stop at a red light are the worst.

Nothing worse than being behind someone who is breaking as they go through a greenlight. Infuriating

Those who speed in residential areas. Where I live the speed limit is 20 while most drivers go 30-35 through there. And people drag race on that same road sometimes, too. Yargh!

This doesn't make any sense. The highway is so packed that you're going 120 on the left past a bunch of trucks going 90 on the right, AND someone is still able to come up behind you at 160? But yeah, in that case you DO let the psycho past you. Blocking them makes things unsafe for everyone including yourself, thus it's road rage.

Some of my major highways are 2 lanes also. That's when it's most important to keep the left as a passing lane. If both lanes stay at a consistent speed, traffic gets super clogged. You need the left to keep moving past the right, and then clearing out as space opens to the right and/or as people exit.
