Sounds like this deviant Republican candidate was forced to apologize because he was caught doing things that the radical Left has historically celebrated and promoted. The Freudo-Marxist author Wilhelm Reich, for example, called in his book The Sexual Revolution for teachers to encourage masturbation in elementary schools and he claimed that children needed to be integrated as early as possible into a sexually liberated and sexually permissive society. Only this might prevent what he called "the mass psychology of fascism." Bernie Sanders, of course, wrote articles for The Vermont Review celebrating Wilhelm Reich and he seemed to agree with Reich's idea that sexual repression is the basis for capitalism and that a socialist, utopian society could overcome it. I'm all for attacking and denouncing this particular Republican candidate and calling for him to lose this election, but I don't believe that the Left can do this consistently since it is their own people who have been at the forefront of efforts to bring pornography, masturbation, and sexuality in general to very young children, usually against the consent of the parents.

This individual Republican candidate will probably lose his election race and, if he wins, he will be a pariah and will likely lose his next primary contest. In the event that he wins this year, he might even be forced to resign upon taking office. There are all kinds of degenerate people in both political parties, and so I do not think that this Republican's vice, dishonesty, and hypocrisy undermine the force and strength of the conservative ideas that he rejected in his personal life. Using this man to suggest that all Republicans are okay with school masturbation is like pointing to Al Franken or Harvey Weinstein and saying that all Democrats are okay with sexual assault.
