I was in high spirits at the start of the summer. I though abortion would motivate democrats go show up. But it looks like people are forgetting about it

This is probably the beginning of the end for democracy. Everyone is throwing away our nation so the gas price goes down

Poorly unfortunately

Won't lie, results were rather surprising. Personally, I think senate polls are close enough where the democrats could retain it.

I suppose I'm more optimistic than other folks on here.

If you held a gun to my head I'd say Dems retain the Senate but lose the House.

However, early voter numbers are through the roof, polling is all over the place (I saw one poll with the GCB at D+5 and another at R+4), Democrats have been overperforming in special elections recently, and this is hardly a typical midterm. I wouldn't be shocked if there's a few surprises on election night.

But who knows lol

I'm optimistic that the Republicans will win both.

Democrats get wiped out. Learn nothing. Triple down on progressivism because they are moral and everyone else is evil and stupid.

Even if Democrats have a huge blowout, Republicans will just go "nope" and basically declare themselves the winners. Not like Democrats will do anything about it.

No idea, to be honest. Im mostly worried that my state might turn red. If that happens, no more legal marijuana. No more human rights or workers rights or womens rights. No more $12+ per hour minimum wage.

It's not going to be pretty.

My state is threatening it too, and I hope people are prepared to act and fix the mistake if it happens.

Probably that their actual policies are so destructive that people would rather vote for the "democracy destroyers" than tolerate your shitty beliefs. Honestly as a leftist/Democrat supporter I absolutely envy guys like him.

Every election since 2016 I've felt constantly miserable and full of dread. 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, this year. What I wouldn't give for some of that supreme conservative overconfidence.

Republicans are very likely to win the House, though the Senate is closer. I think the Dems will lose the chamber narrowly.

Things Republicans and apparently centralists want Democrats to stop doing and start doing if they want to stop losing

• Stop calling everything you don't like racist
• Stop calling everything you don't like sexist
• Stop forcing diversity on everyone not sure what this really means it keeps changing
• Condemn the BLM movement
• Stop supporting immigration in general
• Stop trying force CRT on people, another thing that has no clear definition
• Stop going after Trump
• Apologize to the MAGA kid and RIttenhouse and hold everyone who talked bad about them accountable an give them monetary compensation
• Dissolve the Jan 6th committee, strip all participators of their duties
• Fire Garland
• Biden must resign and Trump be reinstated as Potus
• All of Biden's decisions and appointments must be fired immediately and replacements be decided by the Trump Administration including his Supreme court appointment
• Stop their divisive and inflammatory language
• Stop America being world police
• Stop supporting Ukraine for free
• Stop censoring free speech on the internet and giving companies the ability to discrimination based on free speech

and it goes on from there. Basically let's become a right wing dicatorship because reasons this country is so headed for civil war in the next decade
