Lots of interesting stuff here. Its too bad I dont have a ton of time for games next month. Maybe I can get to at least one of these. Other than Hob, which I recently played and would recommend.

With Murasaki being a dollar, I guess there's no reason not to try it out. I have close to that in my Steam Wallet already

Will try Murasaki and Hob, not confident I'll end up finishing either. Will probably replay Paradise Killer, but might get try to get everything wrong on purpose. I'm interested in Road 96, but I don't trust my PC to run it. Guess I'll see if it goes on sale for PS5 or Switch.

In for Road 96, I had already picked it up on sale recently after you nominated it last month. It was on my radar last year before it came out but I completely forgot about it, so thanks for that KCF!

I'm probably not going to finish this before the deadline, yet I really liked the idea. Any chances of longer games appearing this way again?

Not for a normal drawing, but for special months where a 4th game is offered, maybe depending on the length. Back in 2015 I believe, Fallout: New Vegas was a 2-month feature.

I have to finally admit. I am bad at early Sonic games.

I was playing a version with rewind and abused that feature. I think that I ended up with 30-ish lives

Murasaki isn't very difficult, unless you're playing on hard after beating the game (where you don't have as many bombs) or you're trying to beat the extra 6th stage. Unlike a lot of the genre, you have a lifebar and you can play any stage you want once you unlock it. it's more about replaying the levels trying to unlock more of the lore by fulfilling various conditions.

Okay, so I bought Murasaki and will potentially do every game except for Xenoblade.

Xenoblade progress:

Chapter 13 - 47 hours - Level 57

Just sort of plugging away at this while I have sports on in the background. Based on the Affinity Chart, I think I've discovered the last "main" area.

Finished the second zone in OFF.

I don't know if I'd be able to finish sanic though. I'm a weirdo who never liked Sonic 3 much and preferred the first two games over it for various reasons including hating Blue Sphere and the barrel and the version I originally played was the pc port where the timer ran faster than the actual game speed.

I gave it a shot anyway and got stuck in the ground until the timer ran out.

Finished OFF

...yeah the gameplay was pretty bad but that's largely the fault of the rather dated engine.

Having more of a satirical bent to it, with the setting being a capitalist hellhole and generally being less Earthbound and more Paranoia Agent was refreshing.

Though overall out of the various surreal rpgmaker games out there, I think I prefer Space Funeral the most since it's the most to the point and leaning heavily into its the shitty aspects works to enhance its themes.

Xenoblade progress:

Chapter 14 - 49.5 hours - Level 60

Kind of a boring chapter there, outside the story stuff at the end.

I'm guessing I've got another 15-20 hours or so to go. Hopefully I can finish this one off in the next 10 days or so. I really do want to have some time to play some of December's games before I take time for the holidays.
