I thought it was conducted by someone outside the team.

Obviously that doesn't mean they aren't incentivized to pass people who are "important" to prime time games.

If it comes out that the Dolphins knew he had a concussion last week but let him play this week anyways, then I don't think I can support this team anymore. That's just sickening.

Fencing response, dude was concussed from Sunday's game and they put him back in there, he had no business playing tonight. Two concussions like that in less than a week is dangerous af. The Miami Dolphins organization has a lot of explaining to do, the "back injury" from Sunday was a load of bullshit.

having said that - i still find it hard to believe he didnt have a concussion Sunday and having a fast turn around for a Thursday the Dolphins FO needed to do the right thing and let him
get extended rest. This is not a good look for the Dolphins and the NFL.

They just said he has movement in all of his extremities, so that's probably a good sign. Still, scary as fuck. I've never seen a fencing response where the person's fingers contorted like his did. He looked like Gollum getting tortured for information about the Ring.

Honestly I kinda hope the NFLPA somehow can sue the dolphins for this. There is literally no point for any of their "safety agreements" if you have such an obvious mishandling of a play rs health on national primetime TV no less...Infront of the audience of a new TV sponsor too. Absolutely unforgivable.

Apparently he's okay enough that they discharged him from the hospital and he's able to travel back with the team. But I swear to god, if they clear him and try to play him again next week after all this, I'm going to lose my mind. Don't do it, Dolphins. For the love of god, just don't.

Nah. He wont play next week. They have the easiest schedule the next I think 7 weeks. He might not play for the next two weeks to get everybody off their backs

Thursday night games have historically not actually been worse for injuries than Sunday games.

Im all for player safety and changing the rules to help this, but at the end of the day football is football, they know the risks, and they get paid handsomely for it

Okay, you say Im sure thats what they wanted him to say but if its NOT what they wanted him to say, and it truly was his back, and he truly did pass protocols, then what happened tonight truly was just a normal risk.

it looks extra bad because it LOOKED extra bad. It looked scary. And awful. But people getting KTFO rarely doesnt look scary.

When I was young I wanted to play football so bad and my mom, who is a nurse, never let me play and I never understood why. And this was in the 90s where you were encouraged to destroy the opposing player so you could end up on sportscenter

I love watching football, but any parent who lets their kid play tackle football is a terrible parent. At least these guys are grownups and can choose to play it.

Well you absolutely may be right, it was a huge game against the bills and they needed him out there, but as of right now all we know is he passed protocols.
