Some of them. They'll warn you when you get on the ride if it's not, and they'll usually hold on to them for you until after the ride if you don't have a glasses case to pop in your pocket or something.

There should be a warning if the ride will make your glasses fall out

You can try something like these:

https://www.amazon.com/Chums-Universal-Eyewear-Retainer-Black/dp/B003CJSE5O

But as a -4.00/-4.00, I just take them off because I'm dead if I lose them.

Eh... At magic mountain, you risk your glasses flying off on like 80% of their coasters. Lots of high intensity coasters.

Yeah, those eyewear retainer things let you go on roller coasters without having to make someone hold it and ride without being able to really see anything at all.

Make sure it damn fits, though.

I guess Ill just put them in a case and put it in my pocket. Stuff In my pocket should be good if its secure right? I havent ridden anything more intense than Space Mountain in forever.

as someone who rarely goes on roller coasters, i don't know why you would need them. how much do you really need to see clearly to enjoy it?

Fanny packs are your friend, keep your wallet, glasses, phone all safe and always on your body, stuff falls out of your pockets all the time when you're upside down.

Lots of places don't let you take it on the ride, but there's usually a spot right near where you get on to leave it

If you have pants with zip up or velcro pockets you are fine. Those won't open.

Years ago we were with a friends family at an amusement park, on a roller coaster the ride went down and my friends hat flew off but his dad grabbed it just as it left his head

I would not, unless you have a strap or something. You obviously don't wanna wear them on looping and high speed coasters. A lot of coasters have cubby holes to put loose stuff in.

Your glasses could seriously injure someone if they hit them in face or something, same with that big ass smart phone that's probably your pocket. Therefore, no.

Might be fine on the ferris wheel

It really depends on your pockets. I've gone to Magic Mountain dozens of times over the years and nothing has ever fallen out of my pockets, even on rides like X-2. But I've seen other people lose their phones on coasters. I'd say the fanny pack is a great idea if you don't mind wearing one.

You could also do a backpack, but just be aware that you will have to store it on the side before every ride.

I'd recommend cargo pants with a zipper or a button.

One time when I was at Magic Mountain, I wore shades on an intense coaster, and my shades somehow broke into pieces.

i really don't think my glasses would fly off. it would have to be a very sudden stop which would probably break my neck. my glasses are adjusted pretty snug tho (which i hated at first but 5 years later i appreciate)

One time when I went to a theme park before I went I asked my optician if there was anyway I could wear my glasses on roller coasters and he put me onto these sports bands that he had.

They are an elastic band with little loops at the end that you stick over the legs of your glasses and you can tighten and loosen the band.

It worked amazingly. I sat on the rides laughing at people who had to take their glasses off on the rides.

So go to your optician and see if they have anything like that.

Not really. If I stand in front of a big grocery store and look up the lighted sign is still just a nonsense blur of whatever color.

My close range/reading range use to be good but over the last few years has gotten shit. Pretty much have to have it an inch from my face.
