I used to hate steak, because I've only ever had 'well done'.

Then I tried medium rare and it changed my world. So yeah, med rare is legit.

My logic is im okay if its undercooked to medium-rare or overcooked to medium-well.

Rather not order medium-rare and then i get it undercooked to rare.

The only sensible reason I can think of for anyone to go beyond medium well is if they don't realize steaks don't have to be fully cooked.

Though well done is preferred overall.

Nothing is better than the first terrified moo that happens when you take your first bite
Adds so much flavor and the constant struggles to survive from the cow makes you burn so much calories so you stay fit

Also I pee at urinals with my pants and underwear down to my ankles

Steak means cow

if its a different animal steak, you put the name of the other animal before steak to specify. Swordfish steak, moose steak, etc.

Steak generally implies beef, but if it's a different meat you can still call it steak, you just add the name to it. Like "tuna steak"

Pork and chicken aren't referred to as steaks.

Yeah I love me some rare steaks, but a cut with that much marbling you gotta give it more time, medium rare is perfect.

same. growing up my mom was always "make sure it's well done. no pink at all!" and i liked it but would drench it in A1 sauce. then started eating it medium well, medium, medium rare and damn medium rare is so much better. i've eaten rare and blue rare but medium rare seems like the best balance to me.

She went with medium well. I didn't react too much about it, but I suspect that she might not be aware that steak doesn't have to be fully cooked, considering she's pretty big on hygiene and tends to cook meals a little longer than necessary, just to be sure it's not too raw or anything.

Not sure why the 'blood and raw' look would put people off (assuming they're not vegetarian/vegan), knowing that it's perfectly edible, not to mention tastier than fully cooked.
