First of all, yes, I know, a lot of you don't like Kotaku, can we move past that and talk about what this topic is actually about please/

Finally read the Kotaku article about crunch(Or as it should be called, slavery.) and in addition to a bunch of really terrible stuff that I already knew, I found out that most of Bethesdas Senior Staff quit the company mid-development of the game, making my hopes for their upcoming games like Starfield and the next Elder Scrolls title far far lower.

I can't stress enough people, corporations do not exist as a monolith, no matter how hard they try to make you believe this without you even realizing it. A lot of experienced people made Skyrim great, not just Todd Howard.

Skyrim was a buggy mess, if they had decent developers it might have been okay

I mean it is practically a defining characteristic of the Elder Scrolls games.

Wow, are all of you intentionally going out of the way to completely miss my main point?

We didn't miss it, it is just a moot point. There are plenty of games that had complete turn-over (Doom -> Doom Eternal for example) where the later games were as good if not better then the ones that came before it. Just judge a game based on what it is, not who makes it.

Anyways..

At least they aren't shipping games with quests that you can't complete anymore.

Fair enough, but in that case, why be excited for the next ES or Starfield?
