One of the local schools was auctioning off old school buses and my wife put in a bid for fun. The minimum bid, which was $500. A few months later we get a call, and now we own a school bus. That's kinda cool but I don't think I'd do something like that without having a plan first. Seems like a pain in the ass to drive and probably a money sink just to maintain the insurance, etc. ... Copied to Clipboard!

My wife has a CDL, she used to drive buses for the school when she taught there. You don't need one once its a private vehicle. Also the insurance is dirt cheap.
