I drove this day into figuring out who Corrik targeted, then determined it was Poppy after determining it could only be him or Kirby and that Death + Kirby scumteam didn't make sense and telling the truth made more, THEN drove it into Poppy.

And it was poppy because corrik was voting him right?

I'm trying to reframe Corrik's "we're in the endgame now" sign-off to arrive at a different conclusion.

The only one I have so far is that Ulti was I think Thanos in Avengers mafia, but that'd be a little loose as a hint.

A combination of that and Poppy trying to sweep the Corrik thread under the rug saying he had found no hints as to the possible target (and claimed to have looked) which I found insincere.

THEN I dug into day 1 and found "hey this guy had weird Sultan interactions"

Didn't happen. I won that game by scumhunting successfully and hiding my extra kills in Red's bulletproof body. Doubt I mentioned third party much. You did a lot, because you were Cloud.

the only feasible scenario I can see for Ulti being scum is scumteam has a backup and are playing a longcon. I think that's a less reasonable conclusion than it simply being Kirby and Death

Honestly, that's probably evidence enough at this point. I mean, we had Hb/Sultan, and pendulum didn't really swing either direction. Do we assume a lazy Scumteam that just throws in the towel like that though?

I'm going to be pretty busy tomorrow (wedding) but I'll pop in as much as I can. And Ulti, do me a favor and don't guard me. I've not really earned a night kill. I'd also like you to tell me what you think about Corrik and his sign off message. I'm going to agree with Lopen, it's hard to interpret it in a different way.

(I also think you make a solid thesis about Lopen being Roshan, though he decidedly said you were Roshan day 1. Does real Roshan decidedly call other people Roshan? Does he know someone is hunting for him? idk I'll sleep on it)

Ctes, day 1, you named me and some other people and said we were Town and you'd explain later, and I'm not sure you did. Can you go into detail about that if you remember?

Ulti, MZero, we know Corrik used his ability - I know it's early to make a true judgment call (and I don't think Poppy needs to be staked today - I'm okay with giving him the chance to do more and prove himself), but where do you land on Corrik? Do you really think he doesn't hint his action? Or if he does and it's not Poppy, then who?

That's all I'm awake enough to remember to say.

I'm now noticing that Corrik posted "Tag" in the last topic twice. I feel like that might be some kind of clue because there's obviously no reason to tag a topic twice (especially since he posted in between)

It's important for people to realize that going forward. Lea has a death claim if scum. There is zero reason to worry about it now. It's easier to piece Kirby together as town with how the game falls together if he is and reactions, but this game is so outright weird that things can change quickly. People need to look at these things if I die and things go off the handle quickly.

My vote is where it is simply due to not deciding what avenue is best today, not because of what I am pushing. It's important to get everything on the board with Kirby though, because if he isn't town. It could be eventually catastrophic. I am operating Kirby as town due to how many people likely can't be paired with him as scum, though ironically this all kinda falls apart if he is 3rd party I suppose. But, for all intents scum would view the 3rd party as town as well right now. And because he tried some bs host read tags argument to confirm as town slyly. But, it's something town absolutely has to be aware of a a possibility going forward.

I mean... this makes it look like he targeted Kirby. HEY IF I DIE in all caps is pretty damning. Only problem is death's ward claim

I was leaning Kirby too which is why to me it was vitally important to discern Death's truthiness

Although looking at that post Corrik non-sequitirs into where his vote is just after the IF I DIE comment which may have been his way of telling us the vote is relevant as it relates to his target, if that wasn't already obvious.

Ulti I considered you instrumental in lynching scumRB. And Lea and Lopen also. I dont know why you wouldn't BG one of those two over Han who did not do as much day1.

Not a fan of you theoretically outing Sbells power (even if I am not sure about him being a scanner like you are)

I also dont see Poppy as only being a godfather or Rosh since asking to be scanned if one is scum could either mean scum has a lot of scanresistant power/items, or its reverse psychology.

I know that, I mistakenly thought both were at end of day 1 before he died, but it turns out only one was

I'm still uncomfortable with the lopen corrik poppy kirby fiasco.

I'm not blind to what Lopen is saying. But I guess my deductive reasoning doesn't get me there.

especially since after a reread of topic 1 I felt better about poppy based on his Sultan interactions cause he has no idea who Sultan is. And I have trouble accepting the scum team told Poppy how to treat Sultan.

Alright, I'm caught up though I'm not feeling very well. I'll just answer to some of the things said first.

No I didn't really get to that, though I gave some thoughts early day 2 instead. I said you, Death and Poppy right. I changed my mind on Death today because I realized a lot of the good vibes were very similar to when he was scum last. I'll have to get my head in gear and see if I agree with the Kirby and Death can't be scum together theory because unless Kirby is somehow third party, that would clear Death. I mentioned you because of you were also giving me similar vibes to last game and Poppy because I thought for someone new to this place he's having a lot of thoughts that feel very natural for someone new here not knowing much and he also didn't strike me as someone who would go after an important scum role first thing. As I said early today, it's not something I'm ready to heavily defend but it's how I felt after day 1.

I get the argument that we could lose day 2 if there was an extra killing ability, but Sultan's role made it pretty darn clear that such a thing exists. I suppose it could be something unlocked for someone later.

Also someone asked if I said why I went to the shop. I did. I was just curious about my potential ability. I bought nothing.

As for Sbell and Han, the former feels very distant. He was there for everything but didnt vote anyone and didnt voice much of an opinion on HB or Sultan (and maybe a soft defense of the latter for his 100posts comment, but thats a tiny blip on my radar). He just did not want a tie.

Han meanwhile couldnt do anything and did pick a side despite that. But I am still wary of him poking at Red a lot instead. As if he wanted to divert attention away from the main 2 lynches.
Though of course this means nothing if Red is scum anyway.

So unless Kirby and Death are lying together, I do agree that Corrik's most obvious target is Poppy, but it's not as clear as I would've liked, and I agree the thrown suspicion on Poppy today partly feels like confirmation bias. MZero might be right that this is the wrong approach, but I do want to look (or if someone already has, please spare me the time) if Corrik ever suspected Poppy himself, because if he did I'm not feeling the case very much.

I voted Sultan when only lopen was and the day was still up in the air. I told people to stop tying it and vote for Sultan .

I could have cancelled the tie by unvoting Sultan.

Outside of the Corrik target, Poppy confuses me. He says some downright nonsensical junk in long but coherent paragraph form, but hes also not necessarily uninvested like I'd expect a newish player to look like.

physically fine but energy still sapped. Been forced to sleep a lot but it hasnt exactly felt refreshing.

At this point I'm mostly bitter because I had a few other family members get double vaccines around the same time and I am the only one that caught any of the side effects.

How strongly did he say this? Because I was kind of taking everyone at word that corrik's poppy mentions were kind of loose and he was an obvious target. But Corrik would absolutely know to be digging through his town pile for his night target.

If i assume Kirby is town, which I did for my list. Sbell and poppy's reactions are downright weird. Poppy is hard to Guage because he is an older player who hasn't played with me or on this board in a long time, which makes him more able to fly under the radar.

Sbell looks like he isn't really giving reads but just basically narrating or bumping along the road.
