I don't agree Hb looked as bad as anyone else either. His content was insulted way more than it should be, regardless of alignment, he had fine arguments. I also struggle to see the end of the day being between two scum and everyone seemed to agree it was Hb or Sultan. Sultan himself didn't just get on Hb either and I read it as if he was trying to look better if Hb was killed.

if the vote was between scum sultan and town hb why would sultan not stick to his earlier stance and vote hb to make it less likely he dies? why does the mafia roleblocker make a volte on ulti that absolutely no one is going to follow?

When the vote was between Hb and Sultan, none of them had that many votes, I think Sultan had just two and Hb had more. We've had recent games here where votes went all over the place last minute, I wouldn't think it was completely set in stone. Sultan probably didn't think it was his only way of surviving. Sultan didn't post after having more than two votes. At that point it looked like Hb could've been killed regardless and Sultan would've looked better not being on the lynch if Hb flipped town.

I don't see much point in speculating about numbers in a game that is crazy and we were even told might be imbalanced (obviously attempted to be balanced). But you're probably right it's not five, so good thing my post specified what I thought in that case.

I used it because I didnt have anything better to do during that phase.
I dont know if I shpuld say who I targeted yet. Because while the result is not damning. It is interesting.

Came by this. Does that sound like someone that buys a damn mayo? Because yes it's cheap but we've seen gold come in amounts of 100G a few times and buying something like that might just delay when you become useful for another night.

You know, this is an excellent point, especially since I just said the shard upgrade might not be worth it. I changed my mind when I submitted my night action.

I figured it would take way too long to get the shard even with the lynch train bonus gold (you would need three days at minimum, assuming you voted for and lynched scum on two of those days). So I let curiosity get the better of me and I bought the mayo to see if it truly was completely worthless.

I was hoping the mayo had a hidden power, but I was sorely disappointed.

Not that I'm aware of. I just said I wanted to buy the mayonnaise and went off the inventory posted at the end of the day.

I just double-checked this, too.

The wording says whoever you use the ward on gets their motion detected, but you don't learn who they visited.

Granted, didn't Isquen say some of the item descriptions changed from when we got them in our PMs?

Probably worth doing, especially if you have no interest in any of the other shop items at the moment / have a phase without a useful action to perform.

Only Aghanim's items do. They upgrade a hero-specific ability. All other items are exactly the same for all players

So you used your night action saying you would visit the shop and not buy anything? How would you have guessed that was useful?

See this I don't get

I've specifically laid out how several of his arguments were contradictory and when pressed on them he didn't respond

I get if you think he's town because you think Kirby is scum because I agree I don't think they're scum/scum, but I don't see how you can say he had good arguments

Okay yeah hold on did Isquen change the description of the item when he gave it to Death? My role PM doesn't say anything about the Observer Ward picking up on people who visit the target, only whether the target moved.

(Though logically, the Observer Ward should be able to do both, but there was no in-game indication that would be the case. Turns out that item is actually a tad more useful than I had thought!)

I'm going to assume by the lack of responses that Ulti and Poppy understand what I said and aren't trying to suggest I'm Scum anymore :)

I almost did this, but just because I was salty that I had no money because I wasn't allowed to vote, and I would have been on the Sultan lynch.

And this is not meant to defend Hb, but as for Sultan not being around at end of day, it is common here for Scum, when they think they're 'caught', to stop posting to stop possibly giving more information for Town. Given where things were pushing, Sultan may have just been told not to show up for end of day.

IF that's the case and he WAS around, then my assumption would be that yeah, Hb is also Scum, and they thought it was better to just not give any thought to whether Sultan was bussing or not. And maybe decided that Hb was better to keep around, so better for Sultan to just afk to death for him.

Wait... Did Kirby just send Ctes the mayo?

Here's my issue with the Mayo purchase:
Kirby has presumably only 200 Gold like the rest of the people on the Lynch train.
Why spend 25 and take yourself down to 175 if you wanted to "Test" an item. The 100 gold Quelling Blade is also something testable and assumedly more worth while.
The Clarity Potion (50g) and the Mango (125g) are all based on Once Per Day actions and as Kirby already stated, his action is stupid so why would he need to get a second chance to use it.

He could have bought a Healing Salve for his full 200 which would have been beneficial to Town.
And Kirby also said that saving up for the Shard is probably not going to do anything for him.

And if he's not willing to buy the Shard then the 450 Gold Increaser (Massive Pidas) is clearly not something he needs either.

I don't see how buying the Mayo makes sense. And the thought that mixing Items together (which has never been made to even be an option) is just a weird "cover story" in my opinion.

Why would you think that combining 3 items together would make some awesome sword when we can buy a Vig Shot for 3333.

Now he doesn't have 200g, can't buy a heal for town and if he's just going to buy it the next day anyway when he gets up to over 200 again what really was the point?

He's already highly suspected by a few based on the miller fiasco. Why do something like buy the mayo..

I think it's likely Kirby did not visit the shop.

The post 250 where Kirby "doubts" it'll give him a meaningful upgrade-- it sounds like he would know or he wouldn't know if he really visited it.
