Before the 1980s, folks would be able to provide for all a familys basic needs with just one income. Now, even with both husband and wife working they can barely make it by.

Feminist: You cannot hold us back! You cannot destroy our equal rights!

Corporations: Who says Im attacking your rights? What Im really going after is doubling the workforce pool!

Feminist: Na Nani!

Biggest lie of feminism was that you could achieve self realization at a workplace.

Dual monsters would be so confusing without holograms. How do you argue that sacrificing your Gaia the fierce knight to your catapult tortoise destroys the floating castles flotation ring, kills all of his creatures, and wins you the duel without the hologram doing exactly that.

That's also at least partly because previous generations were much better at telling the difference between "necessity" and "stuff I want".

Is this your assumption or have there been any studies about an increase in unsustainable discretionary spending over generations?

Canada government: Well, looks like agriculture is responsible for 67% of nitrogen emissions... why don't y'all farmers cut fertilizer usage by 30%

Farmers: Umm, that's not how physics works

IDK, my parents knew toilet paper was a luxury and not a necessity. I didn't even know what it was for until I was 14.

Disagree. That meme that millennials need to cancel their Netflix subscriptions and stop buying Starbucks and all their problems will go away is just a bad boomer meme. Saving any substantial amount of money with anything less than a 6 figure income is damn near impossible now unless you live with someone rent or mortgage free.

Hell, even if you manage to save 10-20k a year, which for most is completely unrealistic, you're looking at what... 200-400k max after 20 years. In 20 years, that probably won't buy you a house lol. And expecting to save that much every year on what would have to be a pretty solid salary is only really reasonable if life goes smoothly for those 20 years. Cutting out your netflix and Starbucks will maybe give you an extra 1000 a year if you buy Starbucks every single day. 1000 dollars doesn't get very far nowadays. Maybe it pays for an extra vacation and a little cushion for a month lol

Older generations need to just admit that everything costs way more now compared to what people are making. It's that simple

i think the more impressive technology is that whatever engine they're using to run the holograms has extremely good voice recognition and interpretation, along with dynamic animation modeling
