Earlier this year I woke up with some really bad abdominal pain. Not knowing wtf couldve caused it, I went to the emergency room. Ended up being kidney stones.

My heart rate was high too so they wanted to keep me overnight for observation. Went home the next night.

The whole thing cost me almost four thousand fucking dollars. With insurance. And I didnt even NEED to go, because I passed the stones while I was there.

So now Im beyond paranoid to ever go to a doctor because I literally cannot afford hospital stays like that and the last thing I need is for there to be something wrong that requires that.

The only thing keeping me from not having a total meltdown over it is the fact that theres no interest on that bill so Ill just keep chipping away at it at a slow pace.

Lot of people are either afraid or skeptical of visiting a doctor. I hate going to the dentist personally.

If you have insurance, WTF is your deductible? It must be insanely high.

If you've paid $4000, you might be somewhere near your annual out-of-pocket maximum. If so this is the time to start going to the doctor and get everything taken care of because everything after you hit that limit is free.

I accidentally burnt toast at a fundraiser for hypochondriacs... they all had strokes.

Be neat if I could get a job with better insurance .__.
