Oh we have our problems, but this is unrelated. It sucks but its a necessary step towards my wife and I's end game of retiring on Vancouver Island. I need to get some logging experience somewhere so I can apply in a year for a different logging job in an area we want to move to.

Driving logging trucks

Vancouver Island is where they shot the majority of the seasons of Alone on History channel, I'm fairly familiar.

And honestly I'm a firm believer that distance sometimes can help a relationship, think of it as a potential positive thing, on top of working toward your end goal. Mine is commercial crab or lobster fishing in Maine as a long term into retirement plan.

Distance and even better your wife doesnt speak your language. I need me a woman who only speaks spanish. Hard to fight that way right?

I worked for a OSB factory so I met my fair share of log truck drivers. They worked local and went home every night. Hopefully you can move to that soon enough after kicking ass in this position. Those long drives will destroy your body and hurt your marriage.

If we lived in the town that this company is out of I'd be able to be home every night but we aren't able to relocate on such short notice. Which is why we decided to go this route because if I get the experience I need we can move to where we want to be and have the jobs we want.

I get that. Like I said, hopefully this won't be long term so you can move further up the ladder to something with a better work/life balance. My wife and I are up each other's asses so I can't imagine not seeing her every night outside fo the rare business trip.

What's the pay look like for a truck driver? You don't need to tell me what you make...just general pay range.

30-40 per hour.

Mom is in the hospital again. Same thing but diarrhea and some blood this time. Called oncology to reschedule her appointment tomorrow, and they took 15 minutes to tell me the soonest they had was Oct 11. Unacceptable

Our hospital here didn't even think to give her an abdominal PET scan, the pieces of shit. This hospital has a reputation as the place you go to die for a reason

He gets an infusion once every month or two for it. Hopefully thehospital she's at will take good care of her. Does she have insurance? Just curious because the infusions my cousin gets are expensive as fuck if uninsured.

Better Call Saul was incredible, takes a bit to find its footing. Last two seasons are top tier.

I was rooting against him in Uncut Gems for the entire movie because he just kept fucking up and not learning a damn thing from it and then at the end when his crazy bet is just starting to look like he's gonna win, like in JUST those final moments, I started to root for him... and then... yeah... >_<

Great movie, but one of the most stressful to watch movies I've ever seen. Also as a Celtics fan, I love how big KG's role was and how much screentime he got.
