IIRC the sustained damage comes from the fact that you're constantly freezing mobs it's why Kaeya's recommended setup doesn't include superconduct. The bulk of you damage comes from the fact that you don't miss and never have to dodge.

I had almost 7 million mora and far too many XP books so I decided to ascend my catgirl to max. Diona is so damn good.

If you think about it, the ability to shield, heal AND give 200 EM is kind of nuts. Plus cryo resonance.

Pulled C1 Ganyu on the way to Dori which took more pills then I hoped. And on this Ayaka debate, not denying how strong she is but I still can't get over how awkward her kit is. It works but he's kit is probably the one out of all the characters that feels like it's two separate characters with her burst and ele skill.

Ayaka was designed before the game even came out in beta, and her kit definitely feels like it. They just made her Ult absolutely broken mathematically to make up for it.

Ayaka's C6 has real "early five star" vibes.

MiHoYo supposedly spent more time and money developing Tartaglia's animations and kit than any other character. Which is why he's the only character from that early state of the game that feels refined.

Ganyu got a lot of early hype because the multipliers on her charged attack are frankly kind of nutty, but really what makes her good is that her kit is extremely versatile and covers a lot of different roles. Her ultimate is easily the best off-field cryo application, and her on field dps, while lower than Ayaka's, is very consistent AOE damage and also has the added benefit of not relying on cooldowns or energy.

Ganyu also has imo the best overall set of constellations. Not because any one of them is particularly overpowered, but because all of them are really good. C1 is her best constellation overall, but her C4 is low-key incredible if you manage to keep her Ult up for a while. And her C6 unlocks a completely different play style that basically turns her into a burst sub DPS.

I'd say Ganyu's C1 is really weak, unless you don't use any res shredding and are undergeared with zero particle team mates.
C2 is the one giving good particles but is kinda a setup for C6 coz you don't need that many with Ganyu's good regen, low cost.

Between the C1s of Ganyu and Kokomi I was actually trying to get Kokomi's coz that's +1 apply, +1 heal/damage and elimination of the need to dash/jump cancel her attacks. Not that rolling helped me, 60 rolls (71 or so into 50% pity) and no Dori or 5*s, so I had to give up for Nilou/Nahida.-

C2 makes Shimenawa's an upgrade over Troupe imo.

C1 helps a Frostflake-focused Ganyu a lot if you combine it with Zhongli and don't want to use Anemo for some reason.

It is 'cheaper' to build a Frostflake-focused Ganyu, after all, with the good-old GZBX team.

I'm using the JPN voices for this and I've been happy so far but it's really been murdering my crush on Tighnari. In the other 3 languages he sounds like a young man but in JP he has the 'female VA playing a prepubescent male' vibe.

Yeah the English voice was weird at first but I've grown to like it and it does fit now that I know the character. He's this kind of dorky guy who is smart and passionate about the forest but has also had it up to here with all the careless people who don't respect the forest then come crying after they've fucked around and found out.

But the Japanese voice... It's just all wrong. It makes no sense that he sounds like that, and we already have several other characters with the same vibe who DO look more the part. It makes no sense.

Zhongli's English VA is like an eargasm.

Btw I just got 100% completion in all the Sumeru areas so far. Finally.

Klee C2 is so freakin great with Kazuha.
Just had to remove her from my team coz Sumeru punishes pyro/electro characters and Ayaka's waterwalk is important

Collei barely qualified subdps, DTrav did not.
Collei C4 > DTrav C6 support
Keqing C0 above Klee C0 (I disagree here tho coz mono pyro is busted and pyro is more versatile)
Fischl and Tighnari very high tier subdps.
Tighnari > Ganyu main dps (uh what. He's better than freeze Ganyu, but Melt Ganyu?)

Dendro Traveler T1 is quite a ranking

Also as someone who has both, Tighnari is nowhere near as good as Ganyu.

Kazuha low on the sub DPS tier is ludicrous.

He IS a great fast-paced nuker, but yeah, even with Nahida it's doubtful he'll reach Ganyu's level of damage.

I think my view of Kazuha is biased since I have him more or less completely cracked out, C6 and crowned.

But I still hold that Tartaglia is the SHIT even at C0.

Sumeru has been a blast so far, spent today just mucking about wandering around and working on that Carving event. And I'm caught up with everyone finally! I can go to the desert day 1 like everyone else.

Also, what's the likelihood of some variety and load max improvements for the Teapot? I was naive enough to put a pond (god forbid) outside and that jacked up the load count and I'm too stubborn to remove it because it's pretty, god dammit. Have they said anything?

Caught up with Sumeru story. What a wild ride Act II was, I was absorbed. In general the main story in Inazuma and Sumeru have been several notches above Mondstadt and Liyue for me. I'm just not sure where to go from here, in terms of there is so much to do lol.

I have so much excess resources I've deicded to ascend a few characters - Diona and now Sucrose. Both are now 90.

I didn't realize Sucrose's ult actually has very powerful CC at Lv 90 (it's based on your level relative to the enemies, so at Lv 80 it's not that great).

I've been stuck on Fire Witch Signora for a while now. Yoimiya wrecks Ice Witch, but I don't have anyone else who can deal the amount of sheer damage she can and pyro on pyro isn't particularly effective

Are you destroying the heat things in the corners? I find they are usually the ones doing the damage in that fight.

Do you have any anemo characters? Equip Viridescent Venerer 4set on one of them and swirl a pyro element on Signora. That should give you a pretty large damage increase. Though it'll still be lowered damage coz her pyro resistance is very high.

Yes but swirling with VV will also lower her resistance by 40%, so swirling pyro then immediately switching to Yoimiya isn't a bad strategy.

Yeah, it's exactly why I mentioned it.
IIRC 70% pyro resist and VV drops it to 30%, meaning that you will at least deal SOME damage to her

Even with 70% resist you do SOME damage, I've beaten her using straight Pyro damage.

If you can use VV and you also have Zhongli, that's even better. Actually if you have Zhongli + a good healer that's enough to just face tank her.

Easy way: Zhongli or Kokomi.

Hard way: Stall with Barbara. Cast her skill and heal everyone up. Stack ER/HP/Healing bonus and she /might/ be enough.

My initial strategy was Barbara stalls, but at some point her healing is outstripped by the damage she takes. She's also only Level 40 and I haven't managed to beat the Oceanid yet to ascend her

Then maybe the best approach is just forget about it and save it until your team get stronger.

Back then I relied on Lisa to kill Oceanid, but not many is willing to waste resources like that, just like not many would recommend you to level Barbara.

Hmmm... I don't suppose you have any other healers then? Or shielders?

Signora is hard to beat without healing. It can be done, but you either be good at using the pillars in the corner (which takes timing and skill) or you need a really powerful dps team that can brute force through her.
