AB+ platelets are also pretty versatile, though not as versatile as AB- ones (they're universal platelet donors). If you're interested in donating, your local collection clinic can advise you what you can donate to make the most impact. Odds are you can do at least something, even if you're not as useful as O- whole blood (but then nothing is as useful as O- whole blood, so that's an unfair comparison). --- This is my signature.
