But we keep hearing that there is no such thing as climate change but something is amiss because I've noticed where I live that the summers are getting warming each year.

Floods are common in California after a drought. Everything dries up, then catches fire. There's no plants to hold the soil, and dry ground doesn't absorb water as fast, so it turns into floods and mudslides.

Plus with warmer winters the precipitation that would normally fall as snow in the mountains and melt slowly throughout the summer instead falls as rain and it all flows downstream at once.

They need to pull an Obi-Wan and get the high ground

plus there's also massive desalination as well as acidification due to being a high agricultural zone.

there would be less/weaker fires if they did controlled burns.

the dryer an area is the more prone the soil is to flooding, even if it isnt a ton of rain

We have strict laws here for watering plants but I doubt the fancy pants golf courses do

Sure, the droughts/fires will make the flooding much worse, but at least stuff won't catch fire if it's underwater.

Depends how long the fight is. That'd be an awful lot of almonds to eat in a single sitting.

A ridiculous amount of almonds! Apparently 23 almonds = 1 serving, so you're looking at roughly 26 servings. I'd go with the burger. Though do be mindful the same amount of water is required to produce both potential opponents.

We do need rain.

Instead of almonds, eat pistachios. They are desert plants and will grow with much less water and can tolerate higher salinity too. Pistachios offer the same health benefits as almonds, and they're easier to eat from the shell than almonds (you can buy them pre-shelled, too).
