Why not?

If someone is gay, that doesn't give you carte blanche to just call people gay or the f word, especially as an insult. Not with any class of person. And thinking that gives someone the right is extremely small minded and littered with prejudice.

If users could use reclaimed terms that are still used as slurs as long as they belonged to the group reclaiming them, there would be a lot of other egregious suspendable/bannable terms that GameFAQs would let slide on a case by case basis. As far as I can see, GameFAQs still cracks down hard on slurs with a long history of reclamation, because those terms used in a vacuum are both hurtful and against the ToS.

You also can't verify a user's legitimacy based solely on what they say, due to shit like when right wingers say shit like "as a black man I think BLM are bad for the black cause" despite not being black. So rules like this stay in place to avoid the potential for abuse by bad-faith actors and to ensure a level playing ground for everyone.

As far as I know he hasnt called anyone the g word more saying something is that way, like thats gword. Obviously I could be mistaken. And as I said I am definitely not the authority on it. I just chose not to let it bother me personally. Many of the lgbtqia2s+ people I know call each other the f word jokingly often so maybe I am just used to it.
