If users could use reclaimed terms that are still used as slurs as long as they belonged to the group reclaiming them, there would be a lot of other egregious suspendable/bannable terms that GameFAQs would let slide on a case by case basis. You also can't verify a user's legitimacy based solely on what they say, due to shit like when right wingers say shit like "as a black man I think BLM are bad for the black cause" despite not being black. So rules like this stay in place to avoid the potential for abuse by bad-faith actors and to ensure a level playing ground for everyone.

I could be wrong, but I think they were talking about on discord. I am easily confused though so I could be mistaken.
