Holy shit these fuckers are cracked out

I think Violet Mizu has overtaken Magnamalo and Scorned as the most cracked out monster in this game. Dude is insane. However, also not as difficult as the Magna family in my opinion.

Went in with a Water SA and it turns out Water is mediocre against it. Thunder and Ice are the way to go, but only on the claws and legs for some reason. Head, Neck, and Torso are all pretty bad elemental hitzones. Very weird.

You getting that from datamined info or the hunter's journal? The latter is horribly incomplete and never includes different states of Monsters, like Valstrax becoming immune to elements or Teostra's Ice/Water hitzones switching when he's in blast state. Regular Mizutsune's head for example goes from 10 to 20 as a Thunder hitzone.

Like immune to KO? Nah. I'm pretty sure I KO'd all 3 of them with the shield stuff on Lance(and/or thunderblight thanks kitty).

Right? That's my favorite part of the update. I love it when games do that(SotC in particular) and it was unexpected for me since Infernal Springs is usually the one that always overrides Monster themes.

That's cool. Was it like that in Frontier? Even if the poison's low just two applications per hunt will probably make them better than most of the other Fire options.

In unrelated news I'm kinda underwhelmed by Afflicted Rajang. Knocking him out of the afflicted state is easier than knocking him out of SSJ2(smol tail too stronk), and exhausted Rajang is pretty easy to deal with ofc.

Just took out Violet Mizu. Everyone said it was a bonkers fight and for a while I was confused about why since I was the one doing all the bonking. Then the music changed and I got it. Could barely get a bonk in after that lol.

Aww man, the male chest armor for Risen Cham has a tiddie window and I want that layered armor. But also each piece of its armor and layered armor require a whole-ass risegem. And I don't wanna fight it again to get more of them. I hate chameleos so much. I really do. T_T

Does anyone know if the stream to discord thing for the armor works yet? I tried it for a bit earlier but haven't seen a code yet. I don't remember them specifying when on 9/29 the promotion would go into effect.

Holy fuck Violent Soulseer Mizu makes a spirit bomb. Like a fuck you freiza size spirit bomb.

I dodged around waiting forever to see how he used itz but it turns out you gotta let him get close to you and he sucks you into a vortex and then you have a few moments to get away before it just bombs your ass.

Cool as fuck. Looks pretty easy to get out of. If your weapons sheathed, just wirebug away. Looks pretty easy to swax counter if you got the bugs.

Think it's supposed to one shot you, but my active Intrepid heart 2 no sold it. Think it did maybe a quarter of the bar?

I couldn't find out on their discord post or anything, just the line about having to wait 30 minutes for it to show up in your inventory.

that flaming espinas or whatever it's called fuckin one-shots me at full health with its ultimate explosion attack or whatever it's called (where all the hunters go WATCH OUT!!!!!!)

beat it our third try but lord almighty. i have like 700+ defense and at least 8 resistance in each element, not to mention armordrugging by default but ALSO to remove the defense debuff

thank god that one doesn't paralyze too

It didn't catch me on my first try but on my second Flaming hunt I thought I got out of the way and it oneshotted me(gunner defenses though). The fact that he could walk during the ground one is pretty cool, like imagine if Teostra hovered towards the closest hunter during his nova.

I just snagged the layered armor piece and called it good. I don't think I really need the actual armor. But maybe I'll join in one of these days anyway.

Also I definitely survived Flaming Espinas' big explosion once. Either underestimated its range or was expecting it to be a single directional attack lol. The poison nearly finished me off after that though lol. I did eat for fire resistance on top of running a ton of defense in general, so maybe I was cheating lol.

Damn I got an extra 10 coins off the bonus rewards for a total of 14 off one Investigation. It was a lvl 102 Afflicted Rathian feat. Apex Rathian.

Shit I think the ZL on my pro controller is starting to crap out. It's making a different clicking noise and I couldn't do the sprint on my dog for a while.

Pukei pukei has some very thin hitzones for his weak spots geez. I whiffed more spirals against him then my last half dozen DB hunts combined

Mostly the same. Status got a big buff though it's too early to tell whether it's better then regaulr raw/element now or not. Likely a decently high skill requirement to take advantage though considering how dependant it will be on short timed buffs and well timed dodges to proc skills. Buildup boost, Foray deco, chameleos blessing deco, Flaming Espinas weapons(the Long sword apparently demolishes other fire and poison longswords)

Element got somewhat more powerful with burst(chain crit) deco, and 2 more tiers of qurio element crafting. Handicraft 4slot deco also makes it more viable to get and maintain purple on several of the best weapons without compromising on other important skills.

Raw Gunning has an easier time making sets with level 4 jewels for the three main shot types.

Defensive sets got Embolden and Intrepid heart.

None of this is massive likely for overall times but most things got a tad more powerful and status went up quite a bit.

Violet Mizu is fan fucking tactic. The Phase change Music swap is incredible.

It's kinda annoying how wild this things movement aggresion and speed is but it really pressures me hard. I feel desperate most the fight panic diving, countering and trying to predict this psycho crackhead chugging too many potions. Somehow it ends up feeling right. Absolute bullshit but it hits that little spot where you enjoy the stupid bullshit.

I know without that absolute petalace I would be getting clowned hard too I eat so many hits this guy has such insane speed, reach and a ton of spinning/AOE/Range.

It's like some stuck a gogmazios and a Teostra in a Mizu's body, and gave it several chests full of Crack.

Intrepid heart can be used to be offensive as fuck and I my swax ass is loving it.

I COMPLETELY forgot TU2 raised the armor level cap. Up until this morning I've been playing with non-maxed armor. It probably doesn't make much of a difference but it felt like a waste to not upgrade.

I only work till 1PM EST tommorow though so I will have time in the afternoon/evening.

Also HNNNNGH going into a Sacred Sheathe combo out of a Sakura Slash feels so freaking good.

I have a Rage Slash GS set I lazily modified slightly for LS(Figured I would get hit alot learning a new weapon so def boost and blood rite would be nice)and I was still as much as 1440 from a single tick on a non GS weapon which felt pretty damn good and there were other beefy hits in that sheathe combo too. IIRC ~550 ~900 and ~1400 on Pukei Pukei's face.

Imagine how good those ticks will feel with a much better set.
