I keep seeing that it's available by invitation on Amazon, but I'm not sure how often those invitations go out.

I got mine from the Playstation Connect thing or whatever via email. No idea how to actually sign up for that though, because it was just a random thing I happened to notice.

How are people still not understanding this isn't the only reason people want to upgrade lol. There are so many things people upgrade that have to do with performance. Plus, no one "needs" a ps5. Just like noone needed a PS4. You get it because you want it. Why you trying to parent a grown adult over what they feel like buying?

I'm waiting on when the powerhouse shit starts coming out that PS4 couldn't stand a chance at running. PS5 is a fucking beast, and we haven't even seen a tinge of it's capabilities yet imo

it's also gonna be on the PS4, iirc.

of course, it's going to most likely look and perform better on the PS5, though, but I'm glad I don't have to buy a new system yet to play it.

I woke up at like 5am, and grabbed one and selected to pick it up in store. Then i unfollowed that guy and deleted twitter from my phone.

Amazon prime and best buy have had them in the last week. Best buy and Sony Direct have both had their $549 Horizon bundle in stock for a whole ass day. At this point if you're looking for one and haven't found one you just really aren't looking hard enough because they are out there.

Im playing a Witcher type indie game right now. When I fast travel, it takes 0-2 seconds to load. Sometimes Im doing missions where I have to fast travel across the map to talk to someone, just to fast travel back after. Something you can get done in 30-45 seconds on ps5 would take up to 2-3 minutes on ps4 with 80% of it being loading screens. Graphics don't mean much to me. I play games that look like early ps4 games half the time. Actually playing the game does. And with a ps5 I can play the same game as you and get every important experience you did with around 10% less time taken up.

I do agree that the console hasn't even begin to use it's power yet. But I just think it's limiting to only consider that one aspect.

Almost every walmart has them now. Our store got a huge shipment of them last week. They are the the disk version bundled with Horizon Forbidden West. $549.

this. i think i landed one within a few months at worse. tried 4 times across 4 retailers before i landed it
worse one was walmart (gone in a second) each and every time

gamestop i got lucky with the miles morales bundle.

also to note: supposedly the "pro" version of ps5 will be coming in 2023 or 2024 (by then they should have more supply of standard systems i hope).
