Which one is this again? I know Mica announced multiple new games and I remember one of them looking really interesting, but I can't remember which one was the one that caught my eye. EDIT: I looked into it more and it wasn't this one. The game that I was excited for is Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery, which I don't think has a global release announced yet.

Fair enough. I occasionally get the urge to play them but they're rarely on my phone for long.

I dunno if I want to play that Octopath gacha. I kinda hated that game for its incredibly dull story bits and repetitive battling for a great major middle section, only saved by its extra class fights. I dunno if it's the same team but Triangle Strategy on the other hand was fucking fantastic, probably one of the best SRPGs out there.

But it's not like I'll have time for it cuz Xenoblade 3 and the first update for MH Sunbreak coming out in like 3 days so I probably shouldn't start

Summer Saren's usage as a TP battery (which she does better than normal Saren)

They are different use cases. S!Saren's battery is a huge teamwide burst compared with most other TP batteries, but she only uses it once per fight. This makes her battery more about reducing set-up time than directly enabling UB spam. She does still indirectly increase UB usage for her team with her speed buffs.

Regular Saren instead uses her battery first about 2s into the fight, and then about every 10s afterwards. Over the course of a 1.5 min fight, level 139 Saren's TP battery will restore ~2957 TP to her partner (maybe a bit more depending on action speed buffs in the party, or less depending on overcapping TP), while 139 S!Saren always restores ~348 TP to each party member at the start of the fight (~1743 TP total).

The main reason Saren isn't used often at the moment is that she doesn't enable any particularly powerful strategies. Her TP battery is extremely consistent, but that's all she really has, and it's dependent on who stands closest to her. If her battery enables something like always allowing the DPS to UB during maximum buffs, she's good. Otherwise, she's not good, and there really isn't much in-between.

Edit: I don't mean to rag on you or anything with this. Just pointing out why S!Saren isn't really replacing Saren. Depending on the units available, it could be beneficial to run both together, so it's not really a "pick one" situation.

It's cool, you clearly know way more about this stuff than I do. I'm fine with being wrong and learning more about it so I can understand it better.

I'm at the part where Seo Yoon betrays the team and gives the team's emergency dive coordinates to the Replacers, and willingly joins them for power. This seems like it's gonna go into the cliche where Seo Yoon is only doing bad stuff to earn the bad guys' trust, but her plan will be unknowingly foiled by her friends. And when asked why she didn't tell them about her plan, she'll say something like she knew they wouldn't fight her seriously if they knew :<

Basically the Red X episode in Teen Titans except if Robin didn't use a disguise lol.

I've been avoiding going into the new topic until today, so there will be a few early posts I'm responding to.

First the customary what I'm playing. I'm down to just Counter:side. Not really seeing anything that I'm hyped about. I'll give Alice Fiction a try today, but I've read it uses that stupid account transfer system where you have to use a transfer code every time you want to switch back and forth between devices. That kills any game for me. I'll probably just give up on gachas pretty soon (hence why I was avoiding the new topic).

For the question of what to build in your branch offices (I can' quote between pages), you can do what you want but the consensus on SEA was:

• Phase Coordinates Amplifier lv2 (generates and levels up raids). Is free to build
• Spatial Coordinates Amplifier (generates and levels up dives). Also free.
• Future Strategy Department (lowers duration of missions)
• PR Department (increases the chance of higher reward missions)
• Phased Array Radar (increases the chance of raids happening) for half your branches. Spatial Coordinates Fixator (increases chance of dives happening) for the other half.
• Command Center (increases great success chance. Can't go above 70% except when there are buffs) You need this to reach the 70% at a lv10 office with a 110 employee.

The reason for only a lv2 PCA is because most people can't succeed at the lv130 Britra either because they don't bother tailoring their team to the strategy or can't. When we get Inhibitor back it's probably best to just demolish it since the same people won't have a hope at anything higher than lv 70. I hope Inhibitor is a looooooong way off. SEA players cry every time it returns.

That was such a relief. It was so bad that I even blocked events having them from my memory. Old Fear and End of the Maze having them have been "oh shit right" moments for me. I don't remember any more having them, but I probably forgot those too...

Is anyone else doing the Micawberism Cloisters in PGR? If you've made it to the Prism Tower, how far have you come? I just finished level 40. This mini-game is tough!

Level 130 Britra is legitimately hard though. At least on global. I watch a video of a whale and he only did like 2 million damage. His units were strong enough to skip the mech phase entirely just started deploying counters at 1:30

Im stuck on 32. I just steamrolled everything for a while before I even learned that you could upgrade your guys. And from then I continued to stomp until my current position when I get stomped :<

Yeah, there are some floors where you can cheese but a lot where you have to think it through or just grind it out, using skills at the right time, etc. Now I'm almost halfway there but I hear a lot of players get stuck around floor 35-40. At least the first tower was easy enough to get the main rewards.

The end of the event story was a good nod to Nier: Automata with the whole delete your save data thing. The final battle against Machiavelli was a fun fight! How much better this collab would have been had Kuro been given the leeway to really use the Nier characters beyond their likeness, making new story around them and new (voice) lines. C'mon, Yoko Taro! >:

Halfway done with the tower now. I noticed that the stages now go past 5 for the zone.

Sorry, I should have worded that better. What I meant was most people either dont bother tailoring their team for the fight (just auto-form, auto-deploy and get slaughtered) or cant manage to make enough of a dent to clear it before running out of friends and consortium members. I would say everyone fits one or both categories, except I saw one make it down to something like 12% before the 24hr timer expired so there are at least some people who can manage. Im personally in the camp of not bothering even trying lv130 at all because it will crash in the loading screen if I have more than 1 character due to my iPad showing its age which is a waste info when the raid will fail anyway.

I knew Octopath was going to be similar to Another Eden, but it almost feels like a reskin of it. It shares so many similarities that you'd think it was the same dev team. It's pretty we enjoyable so far though and I got a godly reroll. Something that was nearly impossible to do in AE.

The guys who made AE are ex employees of the guys who made Octopath and they even had a collaboration together with Chrono Cross.

Area 27 on 8/4 with level cap raised to 142, and 14-5 equips available. Gourmet Guild 6 star and Ayumi UE unlocks on 8/4. Master Coin 1.5x drop and double normal drop from 7/31-8/4.

Nothing too unexpected. The only really unexpected thing isn't relevant to most of us, which is the starter PriFest being added 6 months early (special PriFest available for 72 hours after you start a new account with Muimi/Neneka/Christina). 6 stars are important of course, and the event introduces the Friendship Club girls, even if they won't be playable for a bit.

While it wasn't officially announced, datamining has found that we should be getting the equipment cost reductions when Area 27 unlocks. So you won't need to farm as quite as many pieces as before, though in most cases it seems to be about 5 fewer pieces to make something I think (a few have a higher cost reduction, but I don't actually know gear IDs to be able to quickly ID which gears get that in the datamine). That being said, this is just datamined info, not an official announcement, so it is still possible for them to not do this for some reason. We do have a bit of a lull between CB and the next area, so you may want to hold off gearing characters until after the update, just in case.

The new limited time cubes added just the other day can be used for free revives in main story quests for the next month or two. Good opportunity to get further on the main story.

I should have said this when I posted the screenshot, but for those that havent played either game, in CounterSide superpowered people are called Counters. Before making CounterSide they made a MMO about superpowered people called Closers. The translator forgot what game they were working on.

Got Lee and Ling in 80 pulls (30 free with tickets) so pretty good haul. Only one copy of Blackknight though, but one copy is good enough!

Ling is insane OP as she was said to be but daaaamn at that summon cost for her skill 3.

Def need to work on her module to lower their cost

Like beanstalk basically, yeah.

A very useful unit though, especially for this event as her skill 2 can put all the tiny enemies that spawn on defeat of the main ones and AoE attack them. Helps make many maps a breeze if you dont have other units built.
