I mean, if Republicans and Trump do nazi shit and the voters still support them, what else can they be? They're enablers at least and that's bad enough. The average right wing German in the 30s probably weren't siege heiling either, but they helped the nazis into power.

They're dumb, but they're not completely oblivious to everything. They see this kind of stuff too and willingly turn a blind eye to it or secretly support it. The number one reason Trump and Republicans get any support from poor southerners is because of bigotry anyway. They see the heinous shit being done to women, minorities, LGBT+ people and still vote for them. Watch Fox News for 5 minutes all all you get is hatred towards those groups. Why else would southerners support a rich yankee from NYC? Trump knew how to get to them and that's through hate and bigotry. Ask an average conservative southerner and you'll get stuff about "keeping them Mexicans outta our country!" and "stopping them ***s from brainwashing our children".

Say what you want about how bad Democrats are, and I'd probably agree with some or even many of them, but they haven't been doing nearly as horrible things as Republicans have been doing like stripping rights from people so that's not a good argument. Not trying to be a dick about it, but you can't compare the two in those ways. I'll leave it there though. Don't want to get into one big ordeal.

It shouldn't be hard to immediately say "anyone who associates with them is not welcome in our political rallies" but then again it shouldn't be hard to publicly denounce the Proud Boys.
