Have to side with the customers here. They're not allowed to be back there, but what that employee did was straight up felony assault. They were cleaning the fryers. That is fucking boiling. Easy lawsuit.

You use the weapons at your disposal and survive/stop the threat. The outcome is secondary. You can't expect regular people to stay calm and collected, even in a civilized country

Self defense requires an imminent threat, and those women didn't do anything but raise their voices.

I wish we all could be as perfect as you, reading intentions and applying the exact amount of force to subdue a threat without any harm to anyone. America needs cops like you. You know, the people we should expect to stay calm and deescalate situations.

They casually walked to the edge of the counter. They didn't brandish weapons, they didn't even raise their fists. I'm sorry but that hot water was extremely disproportionate to what actually happened.

If someone stabbed someone in the face in self-defense, would you say the same thing? I'm real big on empathy, but having it while literally being attacked just means you're going to be injured or worse. Contrary to movies, you don't look badass for smiling through a beating, just like you lack any self-preservation.

Both parties were in the wrong, but one side deserves to get sued for unprofessionalism possible lifetime damages and the other deserves to get no sympathy for doing something idiotic as going behind the counter. You're basically asking for trouble to go into somewhere that you don't belong.

Cops are professionals and every cop in the wrong in a killing should serve 25 to life. Cops have to be held to a higher standard than the rest of us and be willing to sacrifice their lives. Anyone who can't handle that has no business being paid to protect public safety.

Employees like this would be fully justified and it's not their responsibility what happens in the fight. It's not like it was premeditated. You'd ruin an innocent person's life for reacting like a scared human being?

If someone was stabbed because they were irate because fast food employees were routinely messing up their order then I'd say the same thing too.

You need to re-examine your definition of the word "attacked" because those customers didn't attack those people in the slightest. The employees messed up their order twice from the drive through and when the customers went inside they refused to fix it again, then they locked the customers inside and poured boiling water on them. I'm sorry but those customers didn't do anything wrong but demand better customer service and those shitty employees did literally everything wrong, including escalate the situation to the point that they attempted to feel "justified" in permanently disfiguring them. They're gonna get their ass kicked in that lawsuit.
