Arguments for Shredder:

• he is a master of martial arts
• he is capable of going toe to toe with all four ninja turtles at once
• he ain't came to lose

Arguments for DK:

• Shredder is still human, and puny human go smush
• do strong punches overwhelm martial arts?
• if DK shoots Shredder, it's gonna hurt

Last topic Ike and Aether easily prevailed over DK. Today, a different sort of human, a villain from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles who's good at taking down superpowered opponents. Note that there are multiple versions of Shredder, but I won't force anyone to stick to one continuity if you don't want to.

If this is heavily stacked in Shredder's favor, with foot clan and robots and the like, then yeah, of course Shredder wins.

If this is close quarters, I think the issue is that Shredder focuses on parrying opponents a lot. That won't work against DK, who's gonna spread a concussive force through Shredder's armor with each hit. Even if you take the moon punch off the table, DK still has the feat of uppercutting Kaptain K Rool so hard, he knocks him through the steel roof of an airship and down into the waters of Krem Quay, where he is summarily eaten by sharks. Chunky Kong, who is maybe 1/4th the size of K Rool (in the game where they actually encounter each other), is confirmed to be 2000 pounds. At the very least, if DK lands a solid hit, I do not see the armor surviving.

I do give Shredder respect to fend off DK, especially if they're not immediately in each others' faces. He'd have to pick at DK and limit his mobility with choice slices, but it's possible. I just don't think he can take the raw force of a banana slamma while still keeping his armor intact, and if DK lands a punch on Shredder's regular flesh, it's gonna hurt. It's an odd match-up where Shredder's finesse and skill are his saving grace rather than his trump card.

Don't think there is any single obstacle shredder would put up that DK can't get through and going through a campaign of obstacles is all DK does

03 Shredder and possibly IDW Shredder win, otherwise its DK

DK outputs so much more force than the turtles, I don't see how Shredder really wins this

That's pretty much one of the main arguments that was used for Bowser. And we came to the conclusion that Bowser is inferior at fighting because of his over-reliance on this sort of stuff.

I'll have to read more of people's arguments for both sides, but right now I'm kind of leaning towards DK.

Shredder is a good fighter. He's capable of going toe to toe with any of the turtles individually. It usually takes them working together to beat him.

Well 80s Shredder is portrayed in this way in boss battles is the difference.

Like Turtles in Time he's in a robochair shooting guns at you with foot clan attacking you.

Depends on the Shredder. I don't see 03 losing this, for example.

Tonight, DK dines on Shredder soup.

DK gets devolved into a chimp. He has to get 100% dodge rate against devolving.

If we're taking the strongest version of Shredder he wins comfortably. DK might not even land a hit.

The fact that Shredder requires a team of 4 turtles to beat him is a decent point, but I'd also take DK over any solo turtle if they weren't teamed up.

Eh, put me as undecided on this one, I'm not swayed either way.

At least one version of Shredder is a giant shape changing demon.

If this is any version then I'm going Shredder.
