Started playing. Matchmaking is shit. I'm fighting people significantly above my level with intrinsic perk advantages.

I'd be down for teaming up some other time but for now I want to try out the characters and see what clicks. So far I've tried Wonder Woman and Harley, the latter seems fun.

No probs, just hit me up whenever. I haven't been playing too much lately, but I'm def gonna be playing more since Gizmo is coming out in a few days!

The idle time between matches in this game is insane. Why is there no 'rematch everything immediately with the same settings' option? Absolutely unreal that I have to sit through multiple character select, loading screens, perk selections, confirmations, and even more loading screens just to finish a best 2 out of 3.

Getting really sick of spending every game chasing Bugs, or chasing Velma, or chasing Batman, or chasing Tom & Jerry, or chasing Harley Quinn.

Then when I try to approach they dodge backwards and hit with me a with projectile. I'm starting to think that maybe I don't actually like this game on a fundamental level.

NASB had the same issue that every character is way too mobile. Unlimited dashing that can be used as an offensive tool and defensive tool is NOT a good idea for this genre.

I have 80 hours in this game so maybe I just need to take a break until they fix the hitboxes or something.

Literally getting DCed from 1 on 1 bot matches, are the servers just shitting themselves right now?

I wonder if this I somehow related to the Gizmo delay, like they found some huge server issue.

I keep signing in to see if the servers are actually non-functional. So far they've been up, just with not-great performance.

Not sure how I feel about his kit being super teams focused. I'd LIKE to be able to compete in 1v1s too and not just have a non functioning ability in 1v1 like with Reindog's tether.

Just played a set against Nakat and Void. They were using side characters so it was actually pretty close! If I had a different partner we might have won.

I popped into Nakats stream afterward and he said I did a good job

more Velma nerfs. I still am not sure what Perks I want to use anymore since they're making I'll Take That even worse for her now by removing Weaken from her air up special. They did change the cop car to the Mystery Machine which is a good call, ACAB

I don't understand how this game works at a high level and I'm not sure I want to, but how do you nerf the same character for this many consecutive patches? At least they improved the flavor with her car summon.

She was still very strong in team play, which they have said is their primary consideration for balance.

As of two weeks ago, Velma had the second-highest win rate in doubles despite all the nerfs.

She's comparatively weaker in 1 v 1, but even then her win rate was above 50%.

I'd say they're not nerfing hard enough then, but I suppose it is better to go gradually than to have to reverse course. If you don't know the stats, though, it looks like some character getting beaten into the ground every patch.

As someone who played League of Legends for years, that's just how balance goes for a game that receives frequent patches. It's usually better to do incremental adjustments than sweeping changes.

I was playing this morning and exclusively getting opponents of 16+, often 20+ character levels. Teammates, not so much. I've been cycling through lots of characters so I guess that's how it goes.

Gizmo is fun so far but I'm having so much trouble getting any kills. I'm doing 350+ damage and 0 kills in duos.

As a Reindog main this feels right at home at not being able to kill lol

Popcorn fire arrow cone, down special and up special are getting me most of my kills.

Yeah that's what I'm using but the popcorn arrow is so hard to hit. And up special isn't killing at over 150%.

I need to down special more definitely. I almost strictly use it when Im attached lol

Oh I misread, I meant down smash or whatever its called. I use down special liberally already

Beauty. I've had some crazy ones with Gizmo too. He's so fun.

I'm still struggling to use music and popcorn well at all, but I've got a good feel for the rest of his kit so far.

Exactly the same. I feel like trying to max the music stacks is inefficient because the benefit simply isn't worth the amount of trouble it takes.

I've become addicted to driving the car and up specialing to it as soon as I can, and if an enemy is in the way of you going to the car, you just smack them hard.

I'm also really unsure of what I should be doing when I attach to someone. I almost just completely avoid doing it now. Every time I try and shoot arrows, it always has me pointing in the wrong direction and you can't hold the direction to shoot it correctly. Using music as backpack sucks and down smash is just like decent, I guess. You can popcorn but then it's so high up that it's impossible to use.

I'm also down for some dubs if others are around over the next few days. Gonna be Gizmoing it up a lot.
