Yes, that's correct. Also it's going to take quite a bit of muscle memory re-adjustment to not play it like Smash Bros if you're coming from that.

But it's pretty fun once you get used to it. It's pretty fast at the high level, maybe a little too fast.

Yeah I mainly played Superman but I did play a good amount of Bugs too.

One problem that stuck out to me with the controls: I reversed the normal attack inputs because I'm used to neutral light strings and not forward-light strings but that makes all the air versions of those moves different inputs. I think I should leave that one off this time.

Yeah I'd suggest trying to get new muscle memory instead of trying to apply your Smash muscle memory to Multiversus. Trying to play this game like Smash probably isn't going to go well.

• + The Bomb will now pierce armor.
• + Harley Bomb Equip no longer counts as an Air Special use.
• - Harley Bat Bomb will detonate after 6 seconds even when attached.
• This is to prevent how oppresive the bomb could be when attached to Harley. It would cause all approaches to Harley to be unfavorable.
• Bug Fix: Fixed an issue where the bomb would disappear when attached to a player that goes to the edge of the blastbox.
• - Up Air Attack: Increased time between use when using Up Air Attack again when Up Air Attack is canceled by landing.
• - Side Air Attack: Slightly more whiff recovery.
• - Neutral Air Attack: Has more whiff recovery to prevent it from being a very strong and safe option for Harley.

I'm legitimately stuck on the knockback influence tutorial. I'm holding down-left at lots of angles and still die every time.

PSN appears to be down entirely I can't even redeem my code lol.

I will be interested to see how the prices of these founders tiers shake out in terms of this games economy. There's just no way to know right off the bat compared to it's contemporaries. $100 at the highest seems insane but then I think about when other F2P games lunch and it's always like that.

$100 does seem like a lot but it does unlock 30 characters. Even if this game gets a new character every month you're set on new characters for the next 3 years basically. And you could stockpile enough gold to get every new character beyond that for free.

People online are losing their minds but $100 for 30 characters (and more) doesn't seem that bad to me.

To clarify on that, those 30 character tokens aren't all for new characters. Pretty sure only a handful of characters are unlocked when you first start. You'll have to spend those tokens on a majority of the characters that are already in the game, too.

I feel like I should try to unlock some characters in-game first. I was planning to put money in but not $40 minimum in beta.

Got an email saying I don't need the code they sent me because I was already in the Beta with the Beta client. So I reinstalled the Beta client and now it just keeps saying I lost internet connection.

did anyone else get an email that a code was sent to your email but it wasn't

....Oh man I don't know which Announcer pack I want to get.

This is true but they're not too hard to farm either. You could probably unlock all of the current characters in a few months (maybe less) if you do all of your daily missions.

I mean I DID IT, but I definitely never did all those things in a row without landing, so not sure what I was doing right.

Oh, the missions were always mysterious in what causes them to register.

Played enough as Wonder Woman to unlock Batman and I think I wanna go back to WW.

This game is more fun than I expected. it looked terrible only a few months ago

Part of it is the friend that convinced me to play is weirdly good at all platform fighters, but I had a lot of fun in 2v2s

The game feels different depending on the archetype your partner is playing, which is neat. Tanks shield you so you can use your hammier moves, mages give you safe room to recover, etc

2v2s with a friend is super super fun

Yeah just played for like 8 hours straight with a friend of mine. Game is soooo fun with a buddy.

Made it to 1800~ team rank and rank 70~ with Superman before we finally stopped. Excited to play more and for the actual ranked mode to drop.

It doesn't have a reason to fail as bad as NASB. It's F2P and reasonably enjoyable to lots of people while still in beta. Pricing seems dubious but I'd give it time.

Oh, I get it. You can do two of each those things before landing, so if you jump, airdodge and use specials (up is most practical) twice each before landing it counts.

AHHHHHH gotcha, it's just asking you to USE UP all your aerial nves other than you normals. That makes sense now.

I wonder how necessary completing the 3 pre-season challenges are to max out this preseason battlepass?

This also includes $25 of game cash and 3 seasons worth of battlepass.

I think the battlepasses would total $45-60 so it's more like $15-30 left over towards the character tokens (I know it's not 1 to 1 like that, but just to get a feel for what you're actually getting)

I went ahead and got the $40 pack. Figure Ill be conservative with character unlocks, just sticking to ones I have some previous attachment to.

i think I spent five or six tokens as of now and Ill probably save the rest. I dunno if I really need anyone other than Jake anyway.

why be someone else when you can be Jake

the game feels sort of weird because its not just Smash Bros, and also because Im used to using up to jump in Smash and the default here is a separate jump button

died in my first match because I thought I would grab a ledge and thays not a thing

Played for a couple hours and got to ~2000 teams rank. I guess winning like 15 games straight will do that.

Need to get a new cord for my controller tho, having it disconnect mid match is getting very annoying.

that tutorial is super busted. hearing wonder woman scream over and over made it even more more maddening. after turning off the volume, i somehow got it after a bazillion tries yesterday.

however, due to your comment i looked it up- apparently it's actually broken. you can tell, because the AI WW at the start gets knocked out when demonstrating the correct method, too. either they buffed WW's attack or nerfed her weight without adjusting the tutorial.

with that knowledge, if you still want to complete the tutorial, you can cheese it in various ways by platform. on PC, i spammed the ps/xbox/windows button on my controller after inputting the DI, which somehow just works

Do you get anything for completing all of the advanced missions?

Also they've definitely missed some changes from the beta because Superman's down normal attack still says it has super armor in the tool tip but it does not anymore.

There's no more frustrating mission in any multi-player game than "get assists"

I've been sticking to the 1 on 1 queue for a reason, game.

the game is built around 2v2 as the main game mode so you're gonna run into issues like that a lot probably

Even after playing 2v2 for basically 2 days I have like 20 assists. I keep getting the actual kills so they don't count as assists! I agree this is a dumb mission to have for the season pass.

Most baffling thing so far is that neutral normal is the charge and side normal is the fast attack, and I don't see any way to switch this.

I don't even play a lot of Smash, I haven't touched it in years.

this may not solve your issue with it, but I just discovered you can map neutral attack and neutral special to their own buttons

i was having a lot of trouble ever doing neutrals and accidentally doing side moves. This has changed my life
