Not a Nopon fan either personally. Part of that is the weird insistence on making them speak in broken English in the localization, despite them talking fine in the Japanese... She doesn't really seem the type to want the job. >_> I am bad with Consul letters. I've been referring to D as K for a while now. It's good to see J finally came to his senses and help take out D. The game is suggesting that there's still something important we don't know about the Moebius. I have no idea what it could even be. The party just kinda leaves Nia inside the Skykeep for some reason. Should she go to the Agnus castle or the City or something? Now that we are going on a rescue mission for Melia and the plot seems to be tying in more to Xenoblade 1 and 2, I wonder if any other old characters will show up. In the past the general advice was the screenshot the tutorials so one could read them when they actually matter. Played Chapter 6 up until, okay not technically the first time I could save but after ~~you beat Mecha Nia and the Annihilator fires at where the City was and X just abandons Agnus Castle.~~ Saved right after I got control from all that. that escalated quickly Called the N/M situation pretty much down to the smallest details, including the implication that M may not be as evil as N. Clearly my powers as a Xeno expert are shining through here! Anyway, the end of Chapter 5/start of Chapter 6 was all A+. The cutscene where M just styles all over the party was incredible. Like I'm kinda sad M's situation was seemingly resolved because M was having the time of her life playing the villain and it was incredible. I also appreciate N rejecting every chance for a redemption arc that the party kept trying to hand him because he's also just a lot better being an unapologetic asshole. Since X dragged him with her (I think) that redemption arc may still be coming and he'll go out helping us with that Z guy who is clearly our final boss but I hope not. The scenes where the party was imprisioned (well the time they were imprisoned and didn't intend on it) were really great. Mio still the best. I also appreciate my man Riku pointing out what I was screaming internally before, why the FUCK did Noah never think to draw Lucky Seven in the N fight when they were getting wrecked. That sword is canonically stronger than literally anything they have, including their Ouroboros forms, but he never thinks to try it. And then it was like that montage was also a secret Riku montage building up to him calling Noah the fuck out on that. Noah in the dream/fog/memory/heaven/whatever-scape was interesting just because like... it's clearly occurring on some level. Is it like the same dimension as the Moebius theater? Is that kid Alvis? If not, who else even has that level of authority? It shouldn't be Shulk but he'd be my next guess. I know TRE threw out a "Z better not be Zanza" mention way earlier and like... agreed... but I also dunno who else he could be at this point. ~~Also, most importantly ofc, is Mio got the greatest buff in the game so far by getting long hair. I also has the misfortune of starting that sequence fairly late at night so there was not much sleep to be had that night because there just wasn't a good stopping point. Like I think it might have been before "M" attacked the party so that would have been Mio pretending to be M playing the villain but I'm not sure. It was sad to see M go. As for the kid, I mean the one in the hood talking with Noah while he was in the fog/flashback zone showing Noah N's memories and asking if he'd still make the same choice. Whoever it is has access to all those, can show them, and also was present in the Moebius theater when N spoke with Z and made the choice to become Moebius (N looks up before he makes his decision and he's standing in the balcony watching.) To me that feels like Alvis/Monado/Aegis level stuff like how Alvis was just mostly observing Zanza. But from what we know so far like... I feel like the only ones left with that power left are Alvis himself and Pyra/Mythra. I'm ruling the latter out because that's just too much of a con game. Alvis theoretically should be around as an observer so it could be him I think. Shouldn't be N and M's kid but I guess I can't rule that out but no, I don't mean him. He's very clearly shown.
