Hoping for Taylor, honestly, I wouldn't exactly be disappointed with Turner winning either. Only Monte would be an outright bad winner here.

At least Taylor is pretty much a lock to win America's Favorite (if she doesn't win the game... I'm still not exactly sure if winners are disqualified from that; I've heard mixed reports and there's never been an official statement on it as far as I know).

Let's put it this way, I think the easiest way to find out if winners are disqualified from America's Favorite is if Taylor wins the game tonight.

Having this Sunday finale is making me miss the days when we had Survivor finales on Sundays.

The last one to do that was BvW.

God those HoH results are depressing.

My God, the fact that she's sitting in the final 2 after those first several weeks of awful behavior is just amazing to me. They hated her for showing off her finale dress (that they ASKED her to model), and she's there, wearing it. Daniel shat on her and told her not to talk to him until finale night, and she's pre-jury, while she's in the finals. It's amazing.

Jury, please don't fuck this up. Please STOMP Monte.

Taylor is fantastic

This is an absolutely amazing final speech.

Seeing Indy and Jasmine react the way they did to Taylor makes me feel decent about her chances.

I can't WAIT for the Daniel awkwardness. And Paloma if she's there (in the past, quitters weren't allowed at the finale, but since the last time it happened in the main series, Anthony Scaramucci and Chris Kattan were allowed at their respective CBB finales so we'll see).

I didn't watch the season, but seeing this made me SO SATISFIED. Taylor going from house pariah to winner is fucking fantastic.

She won... 7-2 or 8-1. If it was 6-3, they'd have started with Indy's vote. But Indy or Jasmine could've voted Monte (Joseph we know voted Taylor), in which case it didn't matter which end they started with.

8-1, plus AFP for $800,000.00!

I checked out of the topic because it became clear to me that I was definitely 5+ minutes behind and would inevitably get spoiled but HOLY FUCK YES.

Taylor Hale is the first person in 18 seasons (and only the second person overall) to win Big Brother without winning either part 1, or part 2 of the FHOH competition. This hasn't happened since Big Brother 6.

Survivor and TAR are both on for an hour and a half tonight. Next week they go back to standard hour-long episodes, but TAR is on at 10. The Real Love Boat is on at 9. The fact that they put TRLB between two shows with established and overlapping fanbases and which have done very well airing back-to-back in the past tells me they have 0 confidence in it standing on its own.

I mean, they already had to cancel Love Island for its failure. I'm sure another reality dating show that airs during the fall will be MUCH more successful than one which couldn't even survive airing during the otherwise dead summertime period.

CBS has been trying to have a fucking-centric reality show for years and years without success. I think they scrapped Love Island, which aired several nights a week, for this based on a theme they could run with and a more manageable runtime for the sweeps season.

Like Inviso so perfectly (and sarcastically) put, it will get more viewers than their last attempt due to it airing during the fall as opposed to the summer, but it's still going to fail since it will have actual competition. Perhaps CBS is hoping this will be successful enough for a second season, after which it moves to Paramount Plus. That's something they didn't want to do with Love Island due to its number of episodes, but NBC took it from them anyway. They might have regretted that.

What gets me is that the early advertisements for Love Boat were so vague that I didn't even realize it was a reality show until the later ads aired, at which point I'd already deemed myself uninterested. They didn't need to film the show before they could tell people what it was. Much like with Love Island, I don't expect anybody here cares about this one. It's a good hour to spend playing a game or streaming a better show.

CBS should just resign themselves to the fact that the closest thing they're getting to a dating reality show is Big Brother, since half the people they cast for it treat it like one.

First commercial break, no confessionals from women (and the only female-centric scene is Jesse calling Justine unsuited for the elements). Hooray.

I cant believe they gave CODY the OTTP inspirational scene about a person with a prosthetic leginstead of the girl with the actual prosthetic leg.

That challenge was really dull. Everyone just seemed exhausted, but not in a fun or exciting way.

This episode still has forty-five minutes to it. Its so fucking dull.

Finally caught up.

Elie is getting a LOT of content despite the potential "spiral out of control" with her edit.

Justine is hot.

Nneka looked like she was throwing that challenge. She legit did NOT CARE. What a tragic display.

Cody is a nimrod for just opening that advantage instead of re-hiding it deeper in the same hole and coming back to it in the morning. And, if somebody's voted out and takes their bead with them, does that mean he's idol is forever powerless?

I like this is 90 minutes but I expected more intrigue with that. What's about to transpire at Tribal?

I think Noelle recognized that something smelled with the beads. Trying to see if she's still wearing them at Tribal, and I'm not sure if that's the same bracelet or not. (I think so?)

Yeah, this. No reason to have an ad before the vote reveal if it's gonna be like this, and then another one immediately after.

This was a bad episode, and still would've been if it were 60 minutes since very little happened. I think part of the issue is the small tribes, and the way this was cast. These people get along too well. Survivor is at its best when there are people who don't like each other.

Sucks to see that nobody saw through Cody's shit. Sucks even more to see Justine go.

And yeah, I was wrong. I admit it. Sue me.

Though... I don't really care for Amazing Race anymore. Honestly, watching just the recap, the fact that they're equalizing teams even further now isn't helping - unless of course they combine this with the "no NELs" and allocate one task's difficulty on each leg based on which group they were in.

My problems with TAR are:

1. The locations are more redundant than ever and COVID certainly made that even worse
2. They seldom cast interesting people with interesting stories, and when they do there's hardly a focus on them. Rarely do we get teams with an evolving relationship.
3. The editing is annoying with how many "race to the finish" endings they falsify (often twice an episode, for both first and last place) - when the teams are over an hour apart, and it's obvious.
4. The leg design is so formulaic, and the fact that equalizers are so commonplace really takes away from it feeling like a "race."
5. There's a focus on menial tasks over culture, and what made the show "Amazing" for its first seven seasons was partly the way teams' eyes were opened to the world.
6. It's really just a timewaster. I would get more out of it if it felt like they were really racing OR really spending time appreciating the culture, but it does neither. So, without the "Race" and the "Amazing," the show is really just "The."

Aubrey & David are such a nothing team and it sucks seeing them barely outlast more entertaining teams each week.

Not that Tim & Rex were going to last much longer because Rex is so out of shape but I'd rather have seen them another leg or two.

This one stung less since they still had a decent lead on the last two teams, while they only had a few minutes at most on Aastha & Nina.

Sami's annoying and all, but Gabler is such a fun-sponge.

Honestly? That scene was much more fun (and told us more about Karla's hustler skills) than Cody just being wacky last week.

Eh, I don't mind Baka... really just Sami. He's really the only person in this cast I dislike, but I don't find myself particularly really liking anybody.

Karla, however, is starting to get on my radar as someone I like. She just KILLED this braceleting. And gave amusing commentary the entire way. FINALLY I'm seeing someone's personality and complexities. Which is what this season has been lacking.

Karla, Cody and Elie are far and away my favorites on each tribe.

Karla...Jeanine I guess?...and Dwight maybe?

I really don't like Baka or Vesi. Everyone I enjoy is on Coco.
