It is serious. Apparently Fox isnt airing this for some reason so I can watch The Good Dish. It was either that or Telemundo.

Hutchinson returned to WH after Trump speech, Ornato says when the President got in the beast, Trump thought it would still be possible to go to the Capitol. Secret Service said the area was not secure and they would be going back to the WH, Trump was irate about this.

"I'm the effing President, take me up to the Capitol now"

Bobby (Secret Service): Sir we have to go back to the WH.

Trump reached for the steering wheel, then used his free hand to reach toward Bobby Engel

The rest have convinced themselves that he's the lesser of two evils.

So Trump was so angry that he couldn't lead them to the Capitol himself that he almost caused a car accident. Lmao

Others may have mentioned this stuff, but I'm getting caught up:

• Trump knew that individuals in the crowd were armed and wearing body armor when he told them to go to the capitol.
• It soon became apparent to secret service that security at the capitol would not be sufficient
• It was becoming clear that capitol police were getting overrun at the barricades outside of the capitol
• Hutchinson tried to open the door to Mark Meadows' secured vehicle to tell him of the threat, but Meadows closed the door immediately.
• Hutchinson had to wait about 20 - 25 minutes to have the conversation with him, but there was a backlog of info he should have been aware of. Mark Meadows closed the door on her twice during this period.
• Hutchinson on Meadows' reaction to violence at the capitol: He had a lack of a reaction. Something to the effect of "Alright, how much longer does the president have left in his speech?"

No problem, my summaries were not nearly as precise or detailed as yours lol, and I def missed some stuff. Your recaps are extremely appreciated.

I think it's insane that Trump told them to stop forcing people to go through the metal detectors (magnetometers?) because they weren't going to hurt him. He knew and didn't care that they would be Marching, armed, to the Capitol.

And, that he lunged at Bobby Engel in the car.

This made me wonder- if I am a secret service person, and the president tries to stab me, is it within my rights to put him down as a threat? Or does my oath to protect the President outweigh my right to protect myself?

Meadows wanted to go to meetings at the War Room 1/5, Hutchinson advised it wasn't a good idea

Meadows mentioned going up there a few times during the day, but ended up dialing in to calls rather than going physically

Deposition:

Michael Flynn is asked by Liz Cheney if the violence on 1/6 was justified. Flynn and his team "needs a minute". over a minute and a half later the question is re-asked, and Flynn's lawyer asks if it is a legal or moral question, Cheney says both. Flynn takes the fifth.

Flynn is asked if he believes in the peaceful transfer of power, Flynn takes the fifth.

I feel like this is not how the fifth amendment was intended to be used

• Hutchinson: There were many discussions about the rhetoric of Trump's speech at the ellipse. • Herschmann and white house counsel's office were urging the speech writers to not include that language for legal concerns and for optics of what it could portray the president wanting to do that day.

Meadows falsely wrote that Trump was speaking metaphorically about walking to the capitol.

Pat Cippillone rushes into Hutchinsons office looking for Meadows, goes into Meadows' office, says the rioters are at the Capitol and they need to go see the President now. Meadows says the President doesn't want to do anything about it. Cippillone says something needs to be done or the blood will be on your hands. Meadows walks out with Pat to go to the Dining Room
